Hello hello, fancy seeing you here 👋

She’s been a tad quiet on here (apologies) Let’s just say I blame this crazy time of year!🤪

We came back from our first family holiday and I focused on spending more quality time with my gorgeous family. I’ve also been working hard in the background, spending a lot of time on improving my services heading into the new year.

But I thought it was appropriare to pop back on today as…

TODAY IS MY BIZ BIRTHDAY! 🎉🎂 Exactly one year ago today I signed my very first client and Bloom & Sass was born ✨

To be honest, it’s been a tad hard coming to terms with this date and whether I should celebrate it or not. I had all of these huge goals for my first year in business, but unfortunately things don’t always go to plan. I spent majority of this year battling serious health issues and trying to figure out the balance between being a mama and a business owner.

So no, I didn’t hit 5k & 10k months, I didn’t create a passive income stream to help me step away and spend more time with my girl (we’re definitely working on that for the new year 👀) and I didn’t even build a strong social media presence for myself and my own business…

But here’s what I did achieve 👇

✅ I finally got over my imposter syndrome and started my own business
✅ I’ve worked with 10 amazing clients across all of my services with great results
✅ I’ve made so many incredible connections through networking events and groups
✅ I’ve been able to spend more time with my little girl and work hours that suit me
✅ I have learnt SO much about running a business
✅ I’ve been able to turn my passion for content creation into my full time job

Even though I didn’t hit the big financial goals I set for myself, I’m proud of myself for sticking at it through thick and thin, and I am excited to see what 2024 is going to bring for Bloom & Sass 🌷

Thank you to all of my supporters, family, friends and clients. I wouldn’t be where I am right now if it wasn’t for you 🫶

What a full circle moment 🤯 Yesterday, I found myself back in the exact classroom where I took a digital marketing paper at AUT 3 years ago. Except this time… I was invited back as a guest speaker 🥹 When I first got the email my instant thought was “NO WAY, I’m not ready for that!!!” But I knew I had THREE goals that I wanted to achieve this year, and I could smash them all in just one day 👇 1. Do something uncomfortable to get myself out of my comfort zone It was such a surreal feeling speaking in front of a class of marketing students about my journey from uni student to business owner, giving them a glimpse into how I support my clients and sharing some advice for those looking to start a business themselves.
