“Commercials create worlds that mimic real life. As an art director, it’s important to make them look aesthetically pleasing and also believable at the same time. When I found out I would be recreating Shakespear’s work desk, I knew that was going to be a tough job. Firstly, it was because we didn’t have many reference pictures from the time, and secondly, we can’t find exact objects to use as props. We gathered lots of old books, old papers, candle stands, a flower vase, an ink pot, a feather and many more objects to add details to the video. While searching for ink pots, I found out that glass ink pots are now replaced with plastic ink pots which added more challenges to finding glass ink pots that were used during Shakespeare’s time. And we also custom-made the feather pen by sticking the nib to the feather. Although it was challenging, it was really fun to create the scene. It gave me a different perspective on how to think and see objects.”

"Alapatra" by Yabesh Thapa is finally out.
When Yabesh came up with the song, we knew exactly how we would structure the story. We knew we had to go through the unknown land of Sikkim to give the story the punch it needed.
The production lasted for weeks while the team gave away their sleep, sanity and whatnot, and in the end, we are proud that we created a story that will live forever.
