आज मिति २०८१/०२/२० गते आइतवार संयुक्त राष्ट्रिय नेपाली चर्च परिषद् (UNNCC) को संयोजनमा युनाइटेड भिजन नेपाल (UVN) को सभाहलमा "राष्ट्रको विकास र रूपान्तरणमा ख्रीष्टयन समुदायको भूमिका" विषयक विचार प्रस्तुति तथा अन्तरक्रिया कार्यक्रम आयोजना गरियो । पूर्व राजपरिषद् सदस्य उत्तम परियारको सभापतित्वमा, UNNCC का केन्द्रीय संयोजक पा. भव घलेको सहजिकरणमा भएको उक्त कार्यक्रममा विभिन्न राजनीतिक दलका अध्यक्षहरू, अग्रज सेवकहरू, उद्यम व्यसायीहरू, सञ्चारकर्मीहरू लगायत करिब ४० जनाको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो, जसमा राष्ट्रिय मानव अधिकार आयोगका पूर्व सदस्य डा. के.बी. रोकायाले मुख्य प्रस्तुति सम्बोधन गर्नुभएको थियो ।
विशेष गरी पछिल्लो समय वैश्विक रूपमा फैलिँदो समलिंगी सम्बन्धलाई कानुनी रूपमा विवाहको मान्यता दिलाउने एजेण्डा विश्व मानव सभ्यता र हाम्रो राष्ट्रको अस्तित्वकै खातिर समेत जोखिमपूर्ण रहेको बताउनुहुँदै, डा. रोकायाले विगत डेढ दशकदेखि यस विषयमा आफ्नो अध्ययन र प्रयत्न साझा गर्नुभयो, साथै विश्वमा यो विषय कसरी राजनीतिक र आर्थिक नीतिसँग जोडिएको छ, कुन कुन राष्ट्रमा यसबारेमा के कस्ता कानुनी प्रावधान रहेका छन् भन्ने समेत बृहत् परिदृश्य प्रस्तुत गर्नुभयो ।
आफ्नो प्रस्तुतिको अन्त्यमा उहाँले यस विषयमा धर्मिक सुमदाय सचेत र सक्रिय रहनुपर्नेमा त्यसो नभएको, आफू एकलै यसको विरूद्धमा लागिहेको बताउनुहुँदै, यो एजेण्डाको विरूद्धमा राजनीतिक दल तथा धार्मिक अगुवाहरू समेत बोल्न डराएको, विदेशीको इसारामा चलेको दाबी गर्नुहुँदा माहोल अचानक तात्नपुग्यो । कसैलाई देशको भविष्यको वास्ता नरहेको, देश खोक्रो भइसकेको र कुनै आशा नरहेको बताउनुभएपछि उपस्थित व्यक्तित्वहरूले डा. रोकायाको त्यस्तो टिप्पणी निराशावादी, हत्तोत्साही तुल्याउने र आत्मगाैरवपूर्ण रहेको भन्दै, उहाँको अगिल्लो दशकभित्र कहिले माओवादीमा मात्रै देशको भविष्य देख्ने, कहिले राजतन्त्र,हिन्दू राष्ट्र र सेनामा मात्रै सुरक्षा र भविष्य देख्ने, अहिले समिलंगी एजेण्डाको विरूद्धमा काम गरे मात्रै भविष्य देख्ने । कतै यो कुनै परिचालित वा अवसरवादी चाल त होइन ? राजतन्त्रको एजेण्डा परित्याग गर्नुभएको सार्वजनिक जानकारी मिडियाबाटै दिनुपर्यो, अनि मात्रै उहाँको कुरा सुन्न, एजेण्डामा साथ दिन, उहाँको विज्ञता उपयोग गर्न सकिने कुरा स्पष्ट शब्दमा राखियो ।
अन्त्यमा, यस्ता प्रकारका स्पष्ट धारणा प्रत्यक्ष रूपमा राख्ने, सुन्ने सुनाउने काम गरिनु उपयोगी रहेको सबैको समान धारण रह्यो ।
UNNCC ले अरू कुनै उद्देश्यका लागि नभएर धार्मिक/आत्मिक, राजनितिक, सामाजिक, आर्थिक र विकासका क्षेत्रमा काम गरिरहेका संघसंस्थाद, दल, सेवकहरूका लागि विचार आदानप्रदानको साझा थलोको रूपमा मञ्च उपलब्ध गराउनु मात्रै रहेको UNNCC का संयोजक भव घलेले स्पष्ट पार्दै आगामी दिनमा यस्तै अन्य कार्यक्रमहरू नियमित रूपमा आयोजना गरिने समेत बताउनुभयो ।
समग्रमा यो कार्यक्रमले समसामयिक मुद्दाहरूमा एउटै मञ्चमा उभिन सक्नुपर्छ र सहकार्य सम्भव छ भन्ने संकेत गरेको छ ।

A symposium and interaction programme on "The Role of the Christian Community in the Development and Transformation of the Nation" was held at United Vision Nepal (UVN) hall, coordinated by United National Nepali Church Council (UNNCC).
Chaired by Uttam Pariyar, former member of the Privy Council, the central coordinator of UNNCC, Ps. Bhab Ghale facilitated the program attended by about 40 people including presidents of various political parties, social workers, businessmen, media persons, including former member of the National Human Rights Commission, Dr. KB Rokaya who gave the main presentation.
Especially recently, the agenda of legally recognizing same-s*x relationships as marriage has emerged as a serious risk to global human civilization and the existence of our very nation, said Dr. Rokaya, who shared his studies and efforts on this topic for the past decade and a half and also presented a comprehensive scenario of how this topic is connected with political and economic policies in the world, and what legal provisions exist in various countries.
At the end of his presentation, he claimed that the religious community should be aware and active on this issue, that he was alone against it, that even political parties and religious leaders were afraid to speak against this agenda, and that it was driven by foreigners. Then the atmosphere suddenly got hot. He had claimed that no one cares about the future of the country, the country has become hollow and there is no hope, which provoked the attendees who critcized Dr. Rokaya are pessimistic, discouraging and self-aggrandizing way of speech. He was criticized for changing his stance which might have been opportunism, and a public denouncing of Hindu kingdom was demanded from him.
In the end, everyone had the same opinion that it is useful to have these kinds of clear ideas directly, to listen and tell them. Bhav Ghale, coordinator of UNNCC, clarified that UNNCC is not for any other purpose but to provide a platform as a common ground for exchange of ideas for organizations, parties and servants working in religious, spiritual, political, social, economic and development fields. He also said that such programmes will continue to be organized in the future.

Answer: Well, look, I don't want to sound a fear-monger or a war-monger- for I am not one; that said, the reality is that the world right now is in a volatile situation. Look, the ICC (International Criminal Court) has issued arrest warrant against Hamas leaders which is understandable given their atrocities, but similarly Israel PM Netanyahu and Defense Minister Gallant are also warranted against! The US has criticized the ICC regarding Israel, but France nd Germany have said they respect ICC decision! Republican Senator Lindsay Graham commended the Secretary Anthony Blinken and the Biden administration regarding their stance.
Iran's Prez Ibrahim Raisi was threatening to eliminate Israel off the face of the earth, but got himself eliminated- many see this as a divine justice.
Russian invasion of Ukraine has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of military personnel and civilians, and seems to have no end.
India is having its fifth round of general elections, and will be good for Modi to go out of power.
Dalits are discriminated, nay more, murdered every other day, while transgender extremists are coming after our kids. Same s*x union is demanding legal recognition and social acceptance.

A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, the country’s foreign minister and other officials apparently crashed in the mountainous northwest reaches of Iran on Sunday, sparking a massive rescue operation in a fog-shrouded forest as the public was urged to pray.
As the sun rose Monday, Raisi and the others on board remained missing more than 12 hours after the likely crash, with Turkish drone footage suggesting the helicopter went down in the mountains. Rescuers rushed to the site.
The incident comes as Iran under Raisi and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei launched an unprecedented drone-and-missile attack on Israel last month and has enriched uranium closer than ever to weapons-grade levels.
Iran has also faced years of mass protests against its Shiite theocracy over an ailing economy and women’s rights — making the moment that much more sensitive for Tehran and the future of the country as the Israel-Hamas war inflames the wider Middle East.
Raisi was traveling in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province. State TV said what it called a “hard landing” happened near Jolfa, a city on the border with the nation of Azerbaijan, some 600 kilometers (375 miles) northwest of the Iranian capital, Tehran. Later, state TV put it farther east near the village of U*i, but details remained contradictory.
Traveling with Raisi were Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, the governor of Iran’s East Azerbaijan province and other officials and bodyguards, the state-run IRNA news agency reported. NCFN को सहजिकरणमा चार वटा दलबिच आस्थाको समुदायबाट राजनीति संलग्नता विषयमा छलफल कार्यक्रम आयोजना गरियो ।
संयुक्त नागरिक पार्टी, आमुल परिवर्तन रिपब्लिकन पार्टी ,जनजागरण पार्टी नेपाल र राष्ट्रिय मुक्ति आन्दोलन नेपाल नामक पार्टीका अध्यक्ष तथा पदाधिकारीहरूद्वारा प्रतिनिधित्व रहेको उक्त कार्यक्रमडा. मंगलमान महर्जनले सुरूआती प्रार्थना गरी सुरू भएको उक्त कार्यक्रममा NCFN का अध्यक्ष रेभ. हनोक तामाङको अध्यक्षता रहेको थियो, कार्यक्रम संयोजन डा. सिमोन पाण्डेले गर्नुभएको थियो भने सञ्चालन र अवधारणा पत्र प्रस्तुति रेभ. शेर ए.सी.ले गर्नुभएको थियो । उक्त कार्यक्रममा NCS का महासचिव डिल्लीराम पाैडेल, का अध्यक्ष सुनिल महर्जन, ने.इ.सं.का कबि थापा र बेन्जामिन प्रधान लगायत उपस्थित हुनुहुन्थ्यो ।
स्वागत मन्तव्यसहित संयोजक डा. सिमोन पाण्डेले राजनीतिक दल खोल्नु सजिलै होला तर सञ्चालन गर्नु जटिल रहेको टिप्पणी गर्नुहुँदै, सबै दलहरू मिलेर गएमा इतिहास निर्माण गर्ने र योगदान गर्ने अवसर रहेको बताउनुभयो । आफ्नालागि सबै दल र नेतृत्वमा भाइहरू समान रहेको बताउनुहुँदै उहाँले सबै दल एकतामा आएमा समर्थन गर्ने र पक्षमा बोल्ने बताउनुभयो ।
त्यसपछि कार्यक्रम सञ्चालक तथा NCFN का महासचिव शेर एसीले अवधारणा पत्र प्रस्तुत गर्नुहुँदै विगतको समीक्षात्मक टिप्पणीसाथ भए गरिएका गल्ती कमिकमजोरी, अब गरिनुपर्ने कार्य विषयमा बुँदागत प्रस्तुति दिनुभयो ।
त्यसपछि दलका अध्यक्षहरूबाट संक्षिप्त रूपमा आआफ्ना दलका दाबी, विगतका एकता प्रयत्नका तीतामिठा अनुभव, भविष्यको आशा र निराशा, एकता सहकार्यका निम्ति प्रतिबद्धता लचकता तथा दावीहरू प्रस्तुत गरियो । सनापा अध्यक्षबाट यो कार्यक्रम आयोजनाका लागि आयोजक संस्था तथा अग्रजहरूलाई हार्दिक धन्यवादसहित एकता सहकार्यका लागि सनापा खुल्ला रहेको बताउनुहुँदै यो दल गठनको अाैचित्य र दलको सर्वसमावेशी सामाजिक लोकतन्त्र सिद्धान्त समेत प्रकाश पार्नुभयो । वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष प्रेम कार्कीले सबै दल र नेतृत्वले त्याग र बलिदानको हृदय लिएर, विनम्रतामा जगैबाट सुरू गर्नु आवश्यक रहेकोमा जोड दिनुभयो । साथै, डा. तेज रोक्का, ने.ख्री.महासंघका अध्यक्ष सुनिल महर्जन लगायत दलहरूका अन्य केही प्रतिनिधिहरूबाट समेत टिप्पणी राखियो ।
कार्यक्रमको अन्त्यमा सभापति रेभ. हनोक तामाङबाट प्रस्तुत विचारहरूमाथि सटिक टिप्पणीसाथ, दलहरू एक ठाउँमा आएमा छाता संघठनको साथ रहने प्रतिबद्धता जनाउनुभयो । उहाँले सबैले आत्मसमीक्षा गर्दै, सिक्ने विनम्रता लिन, आफूले मात्रै जानेको भ्अरमबाट मुक्त हुन्, राजनीतिक टिकाटिप्पणी गर्ने व्यक्ति होइन तर राजनीति गर्नेचाहिँ नेतृत्वको खाँचो रहेको स्पष्ट पार्नुभयो ।
यो छलफल सुरूआत मात्रै भएको, निरन्तर रहनुपर्छ, जसबाट मोर्चाबन्दी , कार्यगत एकता र सकेसम्म पार्टी नै एकता गर्दै उत्पीडितहरूका मुद्दालाई स्थापित गरिनुको विकल्प नरहेको साझा बुझाइ रहेको थियो ।
यो पहल सराहनीय कदम भएकाले यसका लागि अग्रज नेतृत्व जनलाई हार्दिक धन्यवादसहित उहाँहरूको सहजिकरण स्वीकार गरेर थप वार्ता, दलहरूका प्रतिनिधहरूको सहभागित तथा आयोजक संस्था र अग्रजहरूका प्रतिनिधिको संयोजकत्वमा घोषणापत्र र विधानहरू संश्लेषण गरी एक साझा दस्तावेज निर्माण लगायत काम गरेर ठोस दिशा बढ्नु फलदायी हुने धेरैको राय रहेको छ ।

NCFN facilitates political dialogue, revives hope

Today, a discussion program was held on the topic of political involvement from the faith community, under the facilitation of NCFN which brought four parties together for deliberation.
The program was represented by the presidents and officials of the United Civic Party, Amul Pariwartan Republican Party, Janjagaran Party Nepal and National Mukti Andolan Nepal. Mangalman Maharjan prayed at the beginning of the program chaired by NCFN President Rev. Hanok Tamang. Coordinated by Dr. Simon Pandey, the program was conducted by Rev. Sher AC who also presented the concept paper. NCS General Secretary Dilliram Paudel, NCF President Sunil Maharjan, CNS chair Kabi Thapa and Benjamin Pradhan were present in the program.
Coordinator of this news phase of political dialogue Dr. Simon Pandey with welcame the attendees and commented that it is easy to start a political party but it is complicated to operate one. Yet, he added, that if all the parties come together, there is an opportunity to make history and contribute to nation building. Noting that for him all parties and brothers are equal in leadership, he said that if all parties come together, he will support and speak in favor of the party.
After that, while presenting the concept paper, the organizer of the program and the general secretary of NCFN, Rev. Sher AC gave a detailed presentation on the issues of past mistakes and actions to be taken in the future, each in 20 points.
After that, the presidents of the parties briefly presented their party's claims, bittersweet experiences of past unity efforts, hopes and disappointments for the future, commitment, flexibility and claims for unity and cooperation. NCFN facilitates political dialogue, revives hope
Kathmandu, May 10-
Today, a discussion program was held on the topic of political involvement from the faith community, under the facilitation of NCFN which brought four parties together for deliberation.
The program was represented by the presidents and officials of the United Civic Party, Amul Pariwartan Republican Party, Janjagaran Party Nepal and National Mukti Andolan Nepal. Mangalman Maharjan prayed at the beginning of the program chaired by NCFN President Rev. Hanok Tamang. Coordinated by Dr. Simon Pandey, the program was conducted by Rev. Sher AC who also presented the concept paper. NCS General Secretary Dilliram Paudel, NCF President Sunil Maharjan, CNS chair Kabi Thapa and Benjamin Pradhan were present in the program.
Coordinator of this news phase of political dialogue Dr. Simon Pandey with welcame the attendees and commented that it is easy to start a political party but it is complicated to operate one. Yet, he added, that if all the parties come together, there is an opportunity to make history and contribute to nation building. Noting that for him all parties and brothers are equal in leadership, he said that if all parties come together, he will support and speak in favor of the party.
After that, while presenting the concept paper, the organizer of the program and the general secretary of NCFN, Rev. Sher AC gave a detailed presentation on the issues of past mistakes and actions to be taken in the future, each in 20 points.

A top Human Rights Council-appointed expert has welcomedOpens in new window the decision by all health authorities in the United Kingdom to halt the routine use of puberty-blockers offered to children as part of gender transition services, amid a sharp increase more widely in the number of teenage girls seeking such treatment and concerns that it might disrupt brain development.
The development is in line with several western European countries that have reportedly reduced access to similar gender identity treatments whose benefits were found to be “remarkably weak”, according to a National Health Service (NHS) England-commissioned review, published on 10 April by consultant paediatrician Dr. Hilary Cass.

It “has…very clearly shown the devastating consequences that policies on gender treatments have had on human rights of children, including girls…its implications go beyond the UK,” said the UN Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls, Ms. Alsalem.

Referrals spike
The independent rights expert cited the Review’s findings that between 2009 and 2016, the number of adolescent girls referred to NHS-England’s service for gender distress – or dysphoria - increased from just 15 to 1,071.
These referrals “breached fundamental principles, such as the need to uphold the best interest of the child in all decisions that affect their lives”, the Special Rapporteur insisted, while transgender rights groups have maintained that there are long waiting lists for treatment.
Mental anguish
Noting the “extraordinarily high number of teenage girls” impacted by anxiety and depression in recent years, Ms. Alsalem said it was crucially important that health authorities stopped “rapidly initiating permanent gender transition pathways that usually begin with puberty blockers, which could cause temporary or permanent disruption to brain maturation”.
Instead, girls potentially seeking “gender affirming interventions” should be offered more holistic psychological support, protected by legislation that should ensure “transition does not become the only option that is acceptable to discuss with them”.
‘Detransition’ support
The same opportunity for wider therapeutic support should also be available to “detransitioners” - individuals who have discontinued gender transitioning - “most of whom are girls”, Ms. Alsalem maintained, in support of the Review’s findings.
“Far too long, the suffering of this group of children and adults has been ignored or discounted. The report’s findings and recommendation signals that they have been heard, seen, and that their specific needs have been recognised.”
Toxic debate
According to Dr Cass’s report, “many more” young girls are being referred for gender transition treatment today, marking a distinct change from the past, when most requests for medical help came from adolescent boys.
Reiterating an earlier call for tolerance regarding discussions surrounding gender treatments amid a “toxicity of the debate” identified by the Cass Review, Special Rapporteur Alsalem stressed that researchers and academics who expressed their views should not be “silenced, threatened or intimidated”.
