Breaking Free
A boy, 13 years old was talking with his father over grades. “ Why don’t you just get better grades you know you can do it” said the father. “Father, after I was born the first 4 years were the best time of my life, but I can’t remember any of it. Then I started school and for 15 years I have to comply. Again if I hope for a good job, I’ll have to go to college for another 7 years and be in debt. And then I have to go to work for 30 years. If I’m lucky I can retire at 66 years old” said the boy. His father was baffled and didn’t say anything, “isn’t that how it works father?” said the boy.
The day we were conceived every major decision of our life was made for us. It is only when we grow and reach that point of life we see it. It is a prison with only a perception of freedom. We are prisoners of a system created hundreds of years ago.
