""चुरे पहाड,वरिपरी रुखबिरुवा र फूलहरु फुलेका हुन्थे त्यही बिचको पुरानो बाटो भएर लाहुरेहरु छुट्टीमा घर फर्किन्थे। बाटो वरपर फुलेका फूलहरुको माँझ युवतीहरु लुकेका हुन्थे । टेरिकोट (Terrycloth), लिजीबी (lizzy bizzy) को सोल र घुम्चे बिछाएर बाटो रोक्थे, लाहुरेहरु यसै नाघेर जान मिल्दैन थियो।बाटोमा बिछ्याइएको घुम्छे अथवा सोलमा आफुहरुले पल्टनबाट ल्याएको पाहुर, नरिवल तेल, करेम, ऎना र पैशा जे छ त्यही राखी ढोगेर बाटो काट्ने गर्थे । त्यहीँ कसैको माया बस्थ्यो।
भरियाहरु भने दुबो राखी सम्मान गर्थे ।
सन् १९६५ को इन्डो-पाकिस्तान युद्धले लाहुरेहरुलाई जम्मू पल्टन फर्कायो,युद्ध सकिएपछि चाँडै छुट्टी घर फर्किने र आफ्नो मायालुलाई रित पुर्याएर आफ्नै बनाउने बाचा गरेर गएका केही लाहुरे सँधैका लागि उतै हराए। युवतीहरुले पर्खिरहे,बैँस जोवनले उनीहरुलाई पर्खिएन तर युवतीहरुले पर्खिन छोडेनन।उनीहरु मेरो आँखा अघि बुढी भए । मचाहिँ त्यो अभागी रुख हुँ जसले यो सबै देख्यो।
बाटो, घुम्चे, फूल, लाहुरे उपहार अनि उनीहरुको प्रेम सबै जम्मूको सेतो हिउँ भित्र विलिन भयो।"

We are making a lyrical video for the song "Jammu ko Hieu" (The Snow of Jammu) in memory of the Gurkhas from the western hills who were separated from their loved ones after the Indo-Pakistani war of 1965. "Dilmaya, a young girl from the mountains of Nepal, dreams of lifting her family out of poverty. When she learns that Britain is recruiting Nepali girls in its Gurkha regiments, she sees it as a chance for a better future. Despite challenges and uncertainties, Dilmaya and other hopeful young girls dedicate themselves to rigorous training, hoping for a life-changing opportunity. As years pass without progress in recruitment, Dilmaya faces the fear of missing her chance to join Nepal's national forces as well."

🎥 Director Bio:
Meet Bishal Magar, a trainer in a pre-Gurkha training center with a passion for storytelling. Born and raised in the indigenous Magar community in the western hills of Nepal, Bishal's upbringing in a region deeply affected by the Maoist insurgency sparked his desire to share untold stories through cinema. With a background in filmmaking education and several short films under his belt, including his first documentary short "Lahureni," Bishal aims to shed light on the experiences of his community and others like it, bringing their stories to audiences in Nepal and beyond.
