Zakiyyah Dzukogi is a 16 year old Nigerian teen author and a member of the Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation from Himma International College. She was Shortlisted for Daisy Girl Foundation poetry contest 2020, Poetic Wednesday Contest etc. She was featured Poet of the Day for 16 poets 4 16 days. Her first work is a book of verses published when she was 10 years old (My Book of Poems). Her new unpublished poetry collection is titled CARVED which won the 2nd position in the maiden edition of Nigeria Prize for Teen Authors, 2020. Her latest Chapbook won 1st in the 3rd edition of Nigeria prize for teen Authors, poetry, 2021. She was the winner of the December 2019 edition of Splendors of Dawn Poetry Contest and the Winner of 2021 Brigitte Poirson Poetry competition. She has her works published or are forthcoming in Upwrite Nigeria, Artmosterrific chapbook, the Nigeria Review, INNSAEI Journal, Konyashamrumi, literature voices, Book o clock, corona blues, Poetry Tuesday, Heartlinks Magazine, Paradise on Earth International Anthology vol I and II, Of shadows and rainbow anthology, piamvoices, Melbourne Culture Corner, Olney Magazine, Sledgehammer and others. She has featured in many Zoom panels discussing poetry, Red Eyes Development Initiative, PIN, 16 days for 16 poets, Open Arts, Nigerian Ecosystem restoration: a po-Ear-this Justice etc. She was long listed for the Nigeria NewsDirect Poetry Prize 2020. Zakiyyah is the president of Writers Club in her school and is a certified accountability ambassador.
