In 1996 AnimagicNet was formed to produce the TV-series “To trøtte typer”. 15 years later at what is now known as Storm Films, we have produced several award winning movies including the Academy award winner ”Peter and the wolf” and the Annecy Crystal winner ”Free Jimmy”. Where a story shines out and deserves to be told we also create documentaries and short films. Our goal is to develop and produ
ce artistically ambitious movies for a broad audience. At any given moment we have from 5 to 10 movies in development and we hope to produce 1 or 2 feature films each year. As part of Storm Group, we have strong ties to several other companies, all located on the same premises. Euforia deals with distribution, marketing, design and the general work of theatrical release. With some exceptions they manage Norwegian titles and some of their most successful titles include Dead Snow, King of Devil´s Island and The Liverpool Goalie. Together with Nordisk Film, Storm Group has set up Nordisk Film Shortcut in Norway and Sweden. Shortcut provides all services when it comes to post-production and with Nordisk Films also housing facilities in Denmark, Shortcut can provide post-production throughout Scandinavia. Storm Studios provides visual effects and animation for feature films, shorts and commercials. They have worked on international titles such as Peter and the Wolf, the Chopin Project and the Flying Machine, and Norwegian movies such as the Troll Hunter, Max Manus, Limbo and Free Jimmy. Commercials clients have included Telenor, Estetique, Subaru and Beerenberg. Located alongside the Akerselva river in the center of Oslo, Storm Films is part of a vibrant and creative environment home to design agencies, post production companies, art and music organizations and other creative professionals.
