Indian Food Records started up in 2010, in accordance to the release of debut vinyl album "The Great Cardinal Sin" of Black Cardinal & The Strange Days. After that, other labels worked with the band, but in 2016, the label woke from hibernation, to take the Electronica Duo Sindicata and the Metalheads of PRYL under its wings, as well as bringing home the Mother band. All three albums from BC&TSD w
ill be re-released during 2016, in addition to a brand new one. Also Sindicata will re-release their debut, "Montmartre, Berlin". The PRYL debut "Death of a moralist" was released late February 2016. The label runs under a flat-economie, marxist idea. All artists signed here, agrees to share all income from record sales connected to the label with all the other artists. That way everyone gets some, and everyone benefits from the others success. The label moved to Nøtterøy in 2016, and a re-building of an 1825 barn into a recording studio/rehearsal room is in progress. Other artists may record their albums here, and the income goes straight back 50% to the maintenance of the studio, and 50% as salary to the producer, engineer and owners of the barn. We run a strict quality control when it comes to our releases and fellow musicians, governed by the three owners of the company. Genre wise, we lean towards the dark and moody, the ridiculously surreal, the spheric and dreamy. We do not support musical populist opportunism. We seek companionship in music.
