"Terror Winds", the latest album from T.O.M.B. is the storming follow-up to "The Thin Veil", which was released in 2020 on Dark Essence Records. "Terror Winds" sees T.O.M.B. return to their graveyard roots with six tracks that reek with the stench of old, raw, blasphemous black metal, infested with a spellbinding symphonic ambience, and necromantic noise soundscapes.
Terror Winds serves as an epic progression for the band - and promises to indulge the listener with an album that is authentic in its dangerous feel of early 90s black metal, while entrancing the senses with a powerful wave of ambient keyboards and classic cryptic T.O.M.B. noise.
The album was recorded live at the Ossuary Studios in New York City and mastered by Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus Studios in Sweden.
Over the course of the band’s 20+ years of history, T.O.M.B. has continuously crossed the boundaries of extreme music by crafting together elements of dark ambient, doom, death industrial and power electronics into a unique style of terrifying black metal noise. It is a style that has earned the band a well-deserved place as one of the top innovators of modern-day Black Metal.

Fans of US Total Occultic Mechanical Blasphemers T.O.M.B, have today been given the chance to hear a second track from the band's upcoming album "Terror Winds", which is due for release on Dark Essence Records on the 2nd December.
The title of the single, "Hatred to All" is a clear indication of the thoughts and emotions that lie behind the track, as T.O.M.B explain:
“Hatred to All” is an anthem to those visions and values that shaped the foundation of early 90’s black metal. With a ruthless rabid intent, the malice behind the music of the song embodies acts of aggression without borders. It embraces a freedom of unrestrained anger and ill will toward everyone and everything regardless of gender, race, religion, moral beliefs or political stances.
A follow up to 2020's "The Thin Veil", T.O.M.B's latest album "Terror Winds", is the seventh full-length release from a band known for its exploration of esoteric matters such as death, paranormal activity and occult practices, and who, with over twenty years of making music, have created a sound that combines Black Metal with elements of Dark Ambient, Doom, Death, Industrial and Power Electronics.
Bringing all their experience to bear on "Terror Winds", T.O.M.B have created an album that has the authentically dangerous feel of early 90s Black Metal. Combine that with a powerful wave of ambient keyboards and classic T.O.M.B. noise, and you have an album filled with symphonic ambience and necromantic noise soundscapes. US Total Occultic Mechanical Blasphemers T.O.M.B, are back with their seventh full-length album which is due to hit the streets on the 2nd December. “In the Ugly Dark” serves as a introduction to the fierce song writing style representative throughout the new six song album. Its scorching guitar sound and barbaric drum beats coincide with the concept of a darkness unknown or experienced within the limitations of human existence.

On the 7th October, Dark Essence Records will release the album "Sverger Hemn" from BLODHEMN, the project from multi-instrumentalist Invisus that sees the Norwegian musician apply his trademark aggressive sound to what will be BLODHEMN's fourth full-length album. Only this time he has expanded that sound to produce an album that mixes Black Metal and Thrash with a well-judged serving of Rock'n'Roll.

About the track, Invisus had this to say:
"Velg Din Gift'' is loosely based on the quote "find what you love and let it kill you", or, pick your favourite poison so to speak. A rock n' roll fuelled track about self-destruction and hell raising!"
On "Sverger Hemn" Invisus draws his inspiration from the area of Norway he knows best - Holmengraa on the island of Fedje. Indeed, both visually and musically the material on the album is a natural progression from BLODHEMN's previous releases, and explores aspects of being taken by the sea and of drowning.
Whilst, with his use of different kinds of vocals and keyboards in order to explore various elements, Invisus has, without a doubt, left his comfort zone on a couple of the tracks on "Sverger Hemn", he has ensured that BLODHEMN still remains true to the essence of Black Metal on an album that has been a long-time in the making.
Once again Invisus plays every single instrument and handles the vocals on "Sverger Hemn", with the drums being recorded in 2020 at the Conclave & Earshot Studio, and the rest of the instruments and vocals recorded at the Over Evne Studio. BORKNAGAR

Norwegian psychedelic doom metal trio Superlynx. "Solstice" pays homage to some of their influences and showcases four cover songs, together with two songs from the "Electric Temple" sessions that didn't make it on the album.
The band has this to say about "Solstice":
After recording our third album Electric Temple summer 2020 in the middle of the pandemic there were almost no gigs to play and a lot of free time. We were not ready for a break from music and not quite ready to embark on a new album just yet. So for the love of playing and for the love of music we booked a studio weekend mid winter 2020 and recorded four cover songs. These songs are musical gems to us and have had an influence on our own music life in one way or another. We then put them together with two original songs from the Electric Temple sessions that there weren´t room for on the album.
After making three deeply personal and emotionally heavy albums some time out of our own heads playing music was a fun and refreshing experience. It was also a boost before starting the writing process for album 4, which is just about to happen.

“Avvik” translates to anomaly or deviation. And even though Taake have been recognized as an important act within the Norwegian Black Metal scene for decades, they have always stood on the outside of main currents of black metal, a scene once founded by deviants and outcasts.
In this context, “Avvik” also refers to this particular collection of songs, as the album compiles tracks which never really fitted in to any of the Taake releases, and hence ended up on three split-10” with Whoredom Rife, Deathcult and Helheim, released on different labels.
“Avvik” collects the Taake tracks from the three split-10” releases for a limited digipak cd release. All tracks have been remixed and remastered for a digital release, and some of the remixes have some surprising guest appearances. Exclusively for this release, Dr Mikannibal of Sigh did Taake the honour of adding her saxophone to a slightly longer version of the Sisters of Mercy cover“Heartland”.
Also, live guitarist Gjermund have done a very special acoustic version of the classic track “Nattestid ser Porten vid I”, which is exclusive for this release.
“Avvik” closes one chapter for Taake and opens for a new one.
