"Ascending from the ice cold abyss of the Swedish underground, KRYPTAN was formed in early 2020 by Mattias Norrman (OCTOBER TIDE, ex-KATATONIA) to realize his passion for the more sinister scapes of music. Joined by long-time friend Alexander Högbom (OCTOBER TIDE) on vocals, KRYPTAN draws inspiration from the raw aggression and eerie mood of the 90s era of Scandinavian black metal to deliver an eclectic, modern take on the genre.
