Melodic metalband in search for guitarist. Last year we have released our EP "Escape into Darkness" (Spotify). Our ambition is to do about 12 gigs per year.
We practice 1x per week on Wednesday evening in Zoetermeer in our own rehearsal room.

Symphonic Death /Black metal gladiators EX DEO, the Juno-nominated project of Kataklysm frontman Maurizio Iacono have unleashed their highly anticipated new EP "Year Of The Four Emperors" on Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM), via its partnership with Distortion Music Group.

The album is out now digitally and on CD, with a limited edition vinyl to follow on March 14, 2025.

To celebrate, the band have unveiled the EP's focus track 'Vitellius.' The lyrics reveal a man driven by bloodlust, yet powerless to escape his fate. Vitellius' violent end is portrayed with haunting finality, a reminder of Rome's volatile power.

Beukende drums, smerige gitaar riffs en onmenselijke vocalen, jawel: Victorie Deathcave is terug! Op donderdag 17 april wordt Victorie weer blootgesteld aan de betere grindcore, gore en deathmetal. Met als headliner de Hollandse koningen van de brutal goregrind: Re**al Sm**ma. Na festivals als Hellfest, Wacken, Obscene Extreme, Herrie, Summer Breeze en vele andere is het eindelijk tijd om de bak luchtig geweld te showen in Alkmaar.

Natuurlijk komen ze niet alleen naar dit slopende feestje. Ook op de bill (ingevlogen uit Schotland!): het intens harde grindcore trio Priest Crippler. Verwacht een zeer intense in your face show die je niet vaak mee zal maken.
Combineer grind, deathmetal, hardcore en crust en je krijgt de band Suffering Quota. Dan deze keer ook twee wat versere bands uit de metal scene.

Train je nekspieren met de deathmetal van Death Möth en ervaar de smerigheid van de goregrind van Hidranitis. De dag na deze beuker van een avond is Goede Vrijdag, dus dat is meteen een mooie blafharde start van je lange weekend!

Na een geweldige eerste uitzending van Play It Loud Brand New dit nieuwe jaar, staat komende week maandag 13 Januari de allereerste uitzending van Play It Loud Live gepland waarin elke maand steeds een andere metalband centraal staat die ik alles vraag over hun loopbaan, muziek, invloeden, aankomende shows en meer.

Speciaal voor deze uitzending mag ik de uit Leusden komende ambient doom & sludge metalband Sordid Empire verwelkomen in de ZFM studio om de 4 leden het hemd van het lijf te vragen over hun band. Uiteraard zal ik in de 2 uur die we hebben, ook al hun muziek komend van het vorig jaar verschenen debuutalbum Blackest Thoughts gaan draaien en daar alles over gaan vragen, maar ook wat er dit jaar allemaal van hen te verwachten valt.

Sordid Empire, opgericht in april 2023, is een Blackened Doom band uit Leusden.
De band bestaat uit Remco (gitaar en zang), Eveline (basgitaar) Mickey (gitaar) en Maarten (drums) werd geboren uit een gedeelde passie voor duisternis en de rauwe expressie van de menselijke ziel.
Inspiratie voor de muziek van Sordid Empire wordt gevonden in de bands die al tijden bestaan of hebben bestaan zoals: Celtic Frost (Monotheist), Triptykon, Winter, Samael, Sunn O))), Oak en Monolord.
Sordid Empire smeedt een unieke klank van Doom met Black Metal invloeden, gekenmerkt door intense schreeuw, krachtige gitaarklanken, baslijnen doordrenkt met zware fuzz, en drumritmes die als stompende donderslagen fungeren. De lange en meeslepende nummers met autobiografische teksten snijden diep in de ziel, en vertellen je een compleet verhaal.

Vandaag bereikte ons het trieste nieuws dat voormalig UNLEASHED lead gitarist Frederik Lindgren die vooral in de beginjaren van 1989-1995 deelnam, is overleden😥👇🏻

Warriors!!!

Sadly, the news have reached us that Fredrik Lindgren, lead guitar of Unleashed 1989-1995 has passed away.

Fredrik was a huge part of the early history of the band. For this we are eternally grateful.
