🎥 Broertje is Verdwaald 🎥 It was an absolute pleasure to create the original score for this moving documentary, which premieres on Dutch TV.

That’s pretty cool, being featured in the Dutch music magazine and to have a conversation about my life as a composer/musician.
Thanks to for the pictures!
Here is my showreel 2023. Recently, I have enjoyed working on assignments within my Master of Fine Arts Media & Game Composition with Chichester University England. The reel mainly contains an audio selection of them. This study has been a great journey so far and I'm looking forward to the last part and my final major project early next year!
Tim is a media composer based in The Netherlands and scored his first documentary "Mural Hoofdstad" in 2022 which was broadcasted on Dutch TV in January 2023. Currently he is working on another docume
Excited that this sunday the dutch tv premiere of the documentary film Mural Hoofstad, directed by will take place on L1 Television for which I composed the music. It was an absolute pleasure working on this project about urban culture.
What a start of 2023! Playing 2 wonderful New Years Concerts with Düsseldorf Symphoniker yesterday with music from Adams, Ravel and a selection of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by John Williams. Now back into the studio.
Happy new year!
Thankful for a great 2022 filled with inspiring projects. This video is an excerpt where I’m writing a (re)score of an early cutscene of Horizon Zero Dawn for the workshop series I was privileged to take part in with Joris de Man this year, organised by Buma Music in Motion.
See you next year!
Looking forward to participate in this workshop series!

It was all about scoring drama in the last module in my MFA Professional Media & Game Composition with Chichester University. This audio excerpt is about a cue where a young boy tries to save her grandmother's last memory from an evil sorcerer, with all its consequences.
Now I’m extremely looking forward to the game modules which are coming up.
Creating sounds with a guitar & bow. Finding harmonics, weird sounds, recording them, take the cool spots, process, sampling, making pads😎
Worked on a commercial recently within my MFA Media & Games Composition study with Chichester University/Thinkspace Education.
It’s shocking that 1 in 8 people do not have access to a toilet worldwide.
This commercial starts from the western world with it’s self-contained houses and suddenly everything starts to rumble, which results in an earthquake and ends with dust in the third world without a toilet.

It’s happy sunny studio day!😎
➡️ These weeks it’s all about writing to picture in the MFA Video Game & Media Composition with Thinkspace Education/Chichester University. Currently fine tuning my next animation assignment and then really looking forward to the upcoming module which is all about scoring drama. ⬅️
Late night studiotime!
I am currently working on the animation module in the MA Professional Media Composition with Chichester University and wanted to share some brilliant music from the 20th century.
Carl Stalling and Scott Bradley are the musical founders of animation. From 1930s to the late 1950s, they composed music for Tom&Jerry, Looney Tunes, Disney’s Silly Symphonies and countless more. There is a huge difference how animation is scored nowadays, but the influence of these two legends is still very strong.
If you want to hear more, take a look at “The Carl Stalling Project” on Spotify. Have a nice day!

The last two weeks were about writing for documentary and here is the opening cue for an African Wildlife. The track starts with a dramatic aerial flying over the African savannah, zooming into Mzima which is a magical place in the middle of Kenya. It's a natural spring and waterhole that attracts a wonderful variety of wildlife. Happy to hear your thoughts! https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/HNpE9W1nko8bpmGB7

It was all about: Research in the last few weeks in my MA Professional Media Composition with Chichester University, England. I took a deep dive into what, where, why, how and when to use pre-existing music in moving image media and as a second thesis I did a case study how music interacts within the narrative “telling” in the story of Disney’s film Encanto. Now really happy to have finished this and looking forward to some cool studio projects coming up!

I have been working on an interactive music system in the style of epic fantasy as part of my studies for the past few weeks. Here is a short excerpt where the music changes horizontally from exploration, transitioning to boss.
