Miranda’s background is as versatile as her personality. She worked as a radio presenter, a dj, a make-up artist and a festival organizer. She is a trained art historian , specialized in Aboriginal art. After working in the media and entertainment sector she took a second Master in religious studies and media. Miranda is known to be an autonomous, creative, flexible and energetic
person who works
efficiently and with great determination and ambition. Apart from her talent for organizing, her creative thinking and networking skills, she is currently pursuing an academic career as a religious studies scholar, specialized in media, lived religion and festival experience. Due to her expertise in the field of modern meaning making and pop culture she works part time as an assistant to dr Klaver at the VU University of Amsterdam. Currently Miranda is finishing her research master with research of the discourse of labeling experiences in pop culture as religious. Working from her homebased office in Utrecht, Miranda divides her time between the VU and organizing the Geestdrift Festival in Utrecht, as well as setting up research for Happinez Magazine and developing new and innovative research. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, live music and art
