And once again WideOyster's Frits Meyst has found himself back in Chile with Touristed. This time I joined a group of travel professionals exploring the Araucania region with, a place that is much overlooked by the international visitors in their hurry to get to Patagonia. This Andean paradise is home to the endemic Araucania trees that line the volcanoes and lakes. Frits stayed in beautiful nature lodges, hiked up volcanoes, simmered in hot springs and enjoyed hot tubs, immersed in indigenous Mapuche culture and had lots of fun. To top it of he participated in the in Pucon.
