Hey all, I know I'm quiet, but as of march 1st I have a new (real) job. So in the beginning I knew it would take quite some energy.

But good news, I just finished prototyping a little thingy and sent the files to Mr Bear himself (from BEAR modules) so maybe, who knows, there will be something new soon.

Also still working on an amazing little oscillator but as it's digital based, I have to dust of my programming capabilities ... Hard ... :-D

So far, back into my cave.

Today I did some repairs. A friend did an *oopsie* in a DIY build causing a few traces (for those who don't know: these are the thin copper lines) to break. It's always difficult to pinpoint where a module then actually broke, but nothing a bit of time and a proper multimeter can't fix.

Sadly I forgot to take a picture from the fixed module, so here is a picture from my multimeter instead :-)

The amazing BEAR modules released yet two more modules that would have been PLAY Modules. Easy as f*** but super handy in live settings and complex systems.

These modules are switches that enable you to just turn the k**b and change the signal (in and out are basically switchable) which are brilliant for rerouting CV signals / LFO's / modulation sources. WITHOUT CHANGING CABLES

I'm cleaning out some modules to make space. The general page where you can find them is on Modulargrid /my law-rah account.

Still organizing my web-presence so ... No homemade modules yet. The final things are being organized there too !!!

Two more proto's to be launched to local users for in depth testing and abuse. If they survive these MF's, it's a matter of finalizing the PCB and a huge "go" for the first batch of modules.

First pictures and info on the module I've been working on. This module was inspired by Cinema Perdu to increase the usability of his Orthogonal Devices ER-301. But it's also a great tool for finding hotspots on more erratic inputs like (for example) a Benjolin, distortions or resonant filters.

Yep, the first official module is out in the wild. Currently being tested and double tested, while I am working on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th (ok, and 5th) at the same time.

But also thinking about philosophy and work method for the future, as well as still learning a lot each and every single effin day.

Now I have a question for you.

If ( - IF - ) I was to "just build stuff" and then put it on for sale, what kind of things / brands would you be interested in?

And my thoughts for asking this: I see so many people building and selling Mutable clones already, there is no market for that. Or well, there is, but it's already sufficiently covered. So there's no real place to generate a new market there.

I have been very pleased by the works of ST Modular as well as NLC (Non Lineair Circuits). And I will be practicing with these brands a bit more in the coming months I think.

Do you agree, or disagree? Is there any of their modules you would like to "order" in advance so that I can include it in my practice sessions? You have any other brands I should take into consideration?

Modification time: A customer wanted his Doepfer A-171-2 Serge VCS for more extreme non-linear curves and more manual control over rise and fall times. There is an existing mod online which is very well described and off course i am happy to do it :-)

And it seems to be a very nice mod indeed ( i'm now playing with it myself ;-) )

Alpha Version of the first official modular tool has been tested by two people (that's three including myself). Positive results and feedback so now we will be diving into the creation software and make a PCB / Faceplate for it.

It's also the basics for the second official modular tool, so i'll be ordering the test stuff for that one right away.

Remember, it's nothing spectacular - don't expect a complex quadruple complex oscillator in 4hp - but it's oh so handy for modular musicians :-)
