In the upcoming version 11 of OnAir TV, we will introduce a new command, 'Create placeholders for items.' This allows you to pre-schedule items and empty files in the playlist using a naming pattern (e.g., 'News_yyyymmdd'. This will create the file 'News_20241204' on December 4, 2024). This is ideal for scheduling future content, like news, before the files are available. Once the files arrive, simply place them in the designated storage location (which can even be automated with a watch folder).

MENT TV orders OnAir TV and OnAir Spots

MENT TV, headquartered in Gent, Belgium, has recently placed an order for OnAir TV and OnAir Spots. As a nationally recognized music channel, specializing in Flemish and Dutch music, MENT TV has relied on OnAir TV and OnAir Spots for several years and rebrands the station to MENTpop.

Exciting developments are on the horizon for MENT TV, as they are set to unveil a new channel on May 5th, 2024: MENT 55. This fresh addition will feature international classics, top artists from Flanders and The Netherlands, as well as a diverse array of captivating programs. Given their longstanding partnership, it was only natural for MENT to extend their usage of OnAir TV and OnAir Spots to their latest venture.

Marc Hallez, CEO from MENT, highlights the significant advantage of OnAir TV and OnAir Spots: the seamless integration of new channels through a simple license update within the software. With this capability, MENT can efficiently manage both channels from a unified platform, benefiting from shared libraries and scheduling resources. Handling one music channel is no small feat, let alone managing two, but with Caliope's software, the process is streamlined. Once the parameters and templates are established, playlists are generated automatically, and commercials from OnAir Spots are ingested with the push of a button.

Eveo From Finland selects OnAir TV and OnAir Spots

Eveo is a new nation-wide tv channel in Finland and was launched on the 1st of January 2024. Eveo TV broadcasts daily to all Finnish households (both antenna and cable). Eveo TV captivates audiences with its diverse programming lineup, having only one target group, the 45 plus Finns.

As a privately owned enterprise, Eveo TV understands the value of operational efficiency. In the starting phase, the playlist were manually created using drag-and-drop methods, resulting in many hours of work to get the playlists to be compiled. Managing a wide range of series, each with its own distinct pattern, proved to be an serious logistical challenge. The owners were determined to make this process much more efficient.
The search ended at OnAir TV by Caliope, the perfect solution to streamline Eveo TV’s scheduling complexities. With the creation of predefined templates and rules, playlists spanning days or weeks ahead, can now be effortlessly generated with a simple click of a button. The seamless integration of OnAir TV with OnAir Spots has also enabled Eveo TV to automate the scheduling of their commercials.

Tomi Hakola of Eveo TV expresses profound relief at the time saved with OnAir TV, highlighting the complex nature of managing multiple series with varying episode counts and rerun patterns. According to Tomi, the ever-changing broadcast schedules, influenced by seasonal shifts, made the process of playlist generation a cumbersome operation.
