ROODRIKS Inspired by the electronic sounds from Africa and beyond. In 2020 they released their debut EP Chukudu where they focus on rhythms from Kinshasa and Luanda.

The Rotterdam/Tilburg based duo ROODRIKS has been sharing their love for African club sounds with a wide audience since 2017. Their fascination for complex rhythms, deafening snares, dirty synths and ex- plosive vocals is expressed in a hybrid live act in which they combine African and African inspired tracks with live percussion. ROODRIKS performed at several festivals including Festival Mundial

and Mañana Mañana but also at several smaller raves, party’s and sound systems where they always manage to surprise the crowd. In addition, they are regular guests at radio stations such as RARARADIO and Open Source Radio. Expect brand new Kuduro, Soca, UK Funky, Singeli and GQOM releases from upcoming labels such as Hakuna Kulala, Nyege Nyege Tapes and Principe Records.

A few months ago, the Hall of Fame Tilburg approached us, asking if we would be interested in curating an area during "Kernafval." We saw this as the perfect opportunity to turn a longstanding fantasy into reality. As a result, we are excited to announce the launch of QUE?!: a night event focusing on percussive club sounds from around the globe. Our goal is to create a platform for all the rhythm and percussion enthusiasts we've met during the past six years of playing African club sounds throughout the Netherlands and meet some more. For next week we have invited our friends: and to turn the dance floor into mayhem.

ROODRIKS consisting of Dion Hendriks & Gijs Roozen will bring you a mix of classic dancehall bangers from the African continent and the newest afro-inspired electronic sounds from beyond. You can expect genres like 90’s kuduro from Angola to brand new Ghanaian dancehall music from the UK. Together they combine these uptempo tracks with live percussion.

Their goal is to introduce people to the modern sound of Africa which they already did on festivals like Mundial, Mañana Mañana, Desperados Roadshow and many more.

Come dance and bring up the temperature to African level!
