We have just recovered from all the wonderful festival experiences and here is our next open call again 💫

Feel welcome to submit your text/ drawing/ painting/ photograph/ anything printable for the 17th ✨ edition of Murf/Murw magazine!

The themes are:

André the Giant
André René Roussimoff was a French Wrestler who suffered from acromegaly and was called the “Eight Wonder of the World.” He also appeared as an actor in several movies such as Conan the Destroyer. 💥🦁🧱

English Breakfast
This famous morning bake traditionally contains fried eggs, sausages, grilled tomato, bacon and toast and is served with a nice cup of tea. First appeared in the Victorian era.🍳☕️🐎

Once again, no words for what happened this weekend ❤️

The artists, the visitors, the venues... To get together and ORGANIZE. Just because we love something. It means a lot. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! 

And a special thanks to all the VOLUNTEERS who came to us to help out. Without you, none of this would have been possible ❤️

The festival is over but we will stay active all year long. With a zine, zine launches (they're like mini festivals!) and the next festival in sight.

At Murf/Murw 2023, several bands from the vibrant underground music scene of Wrocław, Poland, performed under the banner of "Polish Invasion," including Zdrój, Atol Atol Atol, and Ślina.

This year, on the festival's Sunday, another takeover will occur, this time featuring bands from Leipzig.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the lively scene surrounding the VHS video collective Hitness Club from this East German city.

The half-Leipzig, half-Swiss band Omni Selassie offers an exotic mix of doom and sugar-pop.

Additionally, Krachim will perform an experimental garage set guided by ChatGPT, and the weirdo-rock band Bili Rubin will deliver a freaky, danceable punk concert in the Hall of Fame on Sunday evening.

🗣 All names for Murf/Murw Festival 2024 are confirmed! We'll be revealing more and more artists gradually, especially from the fine arts and performance fields, so stay tuned
🗣Early Bird tickets are limited, so grab yours quickly
🗣 If you would like to be a part of the organization as a volunteer or offer sleeping accommodation for our participating artists, you can easily apply via our website.

The closer to 27-29 September the more excited we get about hosting the festival again, bringing together once again a group of wonderful people. What once started as a small event at theatre De Nieuwe Vorst is now a full grown festival with more venues and artists participating each year. 🥹
