We are still looking for people to participate in the art exhibition on the 29th April organized by SexCo. and the Feminist committee. We would like to display art that is related to body positivity, empowerment, identity... but up to you! It can be any kind of art, from paintings to photography or performance. If you would like to write a poem or a piece, you are also welcome to. We are open to anything really! Here is the form where you can sign up.

Dean Judi Mesman sent out an email yesterday expressing the College's intention to create a plan for addressing and preventing s*xual harassment (an umbrella term we are using for ease that encompasses the range of issues related to s*xual harassment, misconduct, assault, violence, abuse, and r**e). We* feel it is very important for the administration to include student input in creating this plan/policy(s) and therefore want to hear from you (fairly informally. for right now) what you think of current resources and how you feel the administration/policy should address the issue of s*xual harassment.
We will be holding community conversations/brainstorms about this next week, but want to get preliminary input to the dean as soon as possible.
Thank you for taking the time to help create a safe and comfortable environment for all LUC students.

"White women’s identity places them in a curious position at the intersection of two vectors of privilege and oppression: they are granted structural power by their race, but excluded from it by their s*x. In a political system where racism and s*xism are both so deeply ingrained, white women must choose to be loyal to either the more powerful aspect of their identity, their race, or to the less powerful, their s*x."

In regard to white women being s**t allies to women of color, Rachel Cargle (.cargle on ig) is a very interesting writer. She's currently doing a lecture tour called "unpacking white feminism" touching upon issues of white fragility and guilt. We recommend following her instagram!
