After five consecutive years of hosting succesful events around the Netherlands, taking his “DNA” concept a step further seemed only natural to its founder, Emiel Zwart. With DNA already in possession of a solid reputation for providing quality techno to those in need, creating a platform for putting out just that kind of music made perfect sense. As a result DNA_rec is now a reality: a purely tec

hno-oriented label that aims to put out an array of diverse and distinctive releases. Much like their Rotterdam-based clubnights DNA_rec will look beyond the obvious names towards both well-known underground artists and upcoming talent alike. Emiel is keen to think and look outside of the box for artists that produce exciting, intelligent techno that inspires and refreshes, as they have also done (and still do) when it comes to the line-ups for their DNA events. Whether deeper and more melodic or raw and banging; if it’s great techno, DNA_rec will be the imprint for it.
