As of last year, it's been 10 years since I started with Ghostproducer.nl - and it definitely seems like something worth having a little celebration over.
The start of a ghost production company wasn't really something I had planned way back. I was working on my artist career, was doing absolutely fine, and felt I was really building something up. Unfortunately, big life events and health issues forced me to make some hard decisions and reconsider what was important in life. And because I had already done some production work for other artists before that, at that point I figured; why not make a job out of that, which is where the idea for Ghostproducer.nl started.
And it all started with just a simple website. Trying to prevent overhyped marketing terms or buzz words, but just with an honest explanation of what it is we do exactly. Hoping people would find us, or that at the very least word would get around in the industry. Maybe sometimes a bit naive with our deals, wanting the pricing to be fair but also the quality of our productions to be of a premium.
Luckily people did find us, over and over again, and over the years I've been overwhelmed by the response, positive feedback, and returning clients who have become longtime friends.
What a ride it has been! Working on songs for established / top 100 artists, as well as helping upcoming artists establish a music career. Seeing tracks skyrocket (sometimes rather unexpectedly), reaching (national) charts, viral charts, Spotify charts, syncs to major TV shows and commercials, and seeing clients going from empty student house parties to playing festivals like Tomorrowland or Ultra Music Festival. It has been absolutely crazy, and even though the circumstances leading up to me starting Ghostproducer.nl weren't the easiest, I wouldn't have it any other way.
So here's to a ton of more years! And to everyone involved, thank you for being part of that journey! ❤️❤️
