The entire Strengholt Music Group wishes the family of Ruud Bos a lot of strength and love for the coming period.

The legendary composer passed away at the age of 87. Ruud Bos will forever be remembered for his amazing contribution to the Dutch cultural sector, which include composing the music featured in the popular theme park Efteling, the famed tv show ‘Bassie & Adriaan’ and his work with artists such as Toon Hermans, Wim Sonneveld, Gerard Cox & Willeke Alberti.

Last week we held a great two-day writing camp with Dutch artist Thomas Berge in the Rooftop Studios in Holten. In multiple studios, numerous songwriters and composers worked with Thomas on new music for his repertoire.

Congratulations to the legendary DJ Paul Elstak for receiving the 'Buma Gouden Harp' during the Buma Awards 2023 in Amsterdam for his influence and legacy that are invaluable to Dutch music culture.

"DJ Paul Elstak is a pioneer and has been one of the most important figures in hardcore for over thirty years, organizing events and promoting the culture both nationally and internationally. These events attracted thousands of attendees and helped the hardcore scene grow and flourish. Our client The Alchemist, who we represent through The Royalty Network, Inc., was back in Amsterdam last week. This time he was joined by Larry June to promote their new collaborative album 'The Great Escape'.

They held an album signing and exclusive merch pop up at the flagship store of highly favoured Amsterdam-based fashion brand Daily Paper and an album release party in the evening at Yellow House in Amsterdam, hosted by Daily Paper.

Today marked the start of the 'Boutique Music Camp' in the Shamrock Studio's in Baarn. We've joined forces with seven other Dutch music publishers and our collective songwriters to write music for, and with, artists over the course of five days.

Legendary hiphop producer, DJ & songwriter The Alchemist, who we represent through our partner The Royalty Network, Inc., was in Amsterdam last week. He gave an amazing show at Melkweg Amsterdam and appeared at Platypusrecordshop.

Already having had an impressive career spanning over three decades, he shows no sign of stopping anytime soon. Besides being an underground hiphop pioneer, he has also written and produced for big acts such as Eminem (for whom he also serves as official tour DJ), Lil Wayne, 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar.

In recent years his writing and producing has contributed to much success and acclaim for Kendrick’s latest albums. In 2018, 'DAMN.' received the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for music, was nominated for album of the year & won Rap album of the year at the Recording Academy / GRAMMYs. At last weekend’s Grammys, 'Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers' was also nominated for album of the year and won rap album of the year.

At Strengholt Music Group we wish the family of Pierre Kartner a lot of strength and love for the coming period. Pierre Kartner passed away on November the 8th. The great composer, author and flamboyant artist (known as Vader Abraham) was very passionate and dedicated to Dutch folk music. The loss is great but his music will remain. 🤍

On Tuesday, Ferry Corsten was knighted Officer in the Order of Oranje-Nassau, a Dutch Royal decoration for people who have rendered extraordinary achievements and outstanding services to society and community.

Ferry received this King's honor as a recognition for his ongoing commitment to represent the Dutch music industry, and his vast influence on the global music industry.
