Afgelopen week creëerde FASHIONCLASH een bijzondere multidisciplinaire performance voor de opening van Bourgondiërs in Limburg bij Limburgs Museum.

Geïnspireerd door het legendarische 15e-eeuwse banket van Filips de Goede, transformeerden regisseurs Nico Pul & Yorvique Macaay (Dictator of Art) overdaad en ritueel tot een adembenemende hedendaagse ervaring—waarin mode, theater, food design, muziek en performance samensmelten. Nina Marte Wilson ontwierp en verzorgde het diner geïnspireerd op dit 15e-eeuwse banket. En in samenwerking met studenten van Toneelacademie Maastricht en mode-ontwerpers die hun kostuums leenden.

Deze aftermovie laat de magie van die bijzondere avond zien.

Een enorme dank aan alle ongelofelijke ontwerpers, performers en samenwerkingspartners die deze visie tot leven brachten.

✨ Banquet of the Pheasant ✨
This week the brand-new exhibition Burgundians in Limburg opens at Limburgs Museum. This Thursday and Friday, during the exclusive opening, FASHIONCLASH will show Banquet of the Pheasant – a multidisciplinary performance in collaboration with Nico Pul & Yorvique Macaay (Dictator of Art).

Inspired by Philip the Good's legendary 15th-century banquet, the piece explores both the seduction and suffocation of excess and ritual. A choir, trumpets, and merging voices build a festive atmosphere that crescendos into an almost apocalyptic "last party ever"—where opulence shifts from alluring to confrontational. Theater, fashion, ritual, and music collide in a sensory feast featuring contributions from students from Toneelacademie Maastricht, designs by young Dutch fashion designers, and a specially crafted menu by Nina Marte Wilson.

Burgundians in Limburg is on show from 4 October 2025 – 1 February 2026. 4 oktober 2025 t/m 1 februari 2026 at Limburgs Museum in Venlo.

On 1 September 2025, Branko Popovic from FASHIONCLASH team had the privilege of being invited to the Amsterdam Museum to take part in Unlocking Fashion Heritage, an event organized by Modemuze in collaboration with Amsterdam Fashion Week. The program marked both the completion of the Unlocking Fashion Heritage digitalization project and the ten-year anniversary of Modemuze, now a collaborative network of 22 museums and heritage institutions.

Branko was asked to open the program with the very first “State of Fashion in the Netherlands”, a reflection on where we stand today as a fashion field: the opportunities and challenges for connecting fashion with heritage, craft, innovation, and the future.

“Mensen van verschillende leeftijden, verschillende achtergronden; samen kregen we alles voor elkaar,” vertelt Heloise over hoe ze zich tijdens haar deelname aan de Heiligdomsvaart sterk verbonden voelde met de groep. Een ervaring die ze erg koestert.
