Newbooks.asia lists academic English language books published on Asia in the preceding 18 months (using data obtained from Nielsen BookData), and it encourages academics to review the books listed. Review copies can be requested through the website, and all reviews are posted online by sending them to the administrator. A number of reviews are also published in The Newsletter, published by the Int

ernational Institute for Asian Studies. The site is aimed first and foremost at academics and students within Asia studies, but we believe it will also be useful for non-specialist, non-academic research and for the informed public.
