Last Saturday we had a blast at Wibar. With 4 bands that could not have been better to do a "first" real bands night. The venue is awesome and also the crew is a collection of heroes!

Smikkelbaard is a Leiden-based record label and every year at the start of October our little town goes crazy. Works stops, drunk people in the streets, and cover bands rule the stages.

Some years ago we mixed those sounds with Dinah Bird's record "A box of 78's" to create a now soundscape. Enjoy this 3 October version and eat some oliebollen!

The program has been getting better every couple weeks with Ashley Henry, Tramhaus, Aafke Romeijn, Machinefabriek, Conjunto Papa Upa, and much much more. The latest addition is Smikkelbaard releasing artist rosemary loves a blackberry. An awesome artist that you need to see. So make sure to be early for Tramhaus at Scheltema and see her performance!

As a final surprise we welcome rosemary loves a blackberry to Peel Slowly and See 2022. She will perform her dark and haunting electronica at midnight in Scheltema Leiden right before Tramhaus.

Rosemary Loves a Blackberry is the interdisciplinary project of artist Diana Burkot, mixing electronic music, vocals, visuals and contemporary dance. We got some updates about Peel Slowly and See 2022! The lineup is even bigger and better. We suggest getting your tickets asap because you have no excuse.

After last night's news, here is a big update about our upcoming festival: Peel Slowly and See 2022 is happening March 19 in Gebr de Nobel, Scheltema Leiden & Marktsteeg 10.

Okay, we have to share this glorious news. Leiden is going back in time. The time where bands played on top of buildings. This Saturday you can hear (not sure about seeing) the band Cosmic Debris on Gebr de Nobel.

Make sure to be there on time around 16:00 before the neighbors will be screaming "Kom van dat dak af!".

Who needs drugs when you have kids? Everything in Gerlov’s life has changed and he’s going to let us know all about it. On his new EP we’re listening in on the many internal he must have had over the past few years.

The stress of hospital waiting rooms, about adapting to a new life, nostalgic dreams of a past life, and mastering the art of counting to ten before exploding—the stories told in these songs are taken from a life that is far removed from the person who wrote records like The Boy Screamed Wolf and Going Crazy: Outtakes from Rock Bottom. But has everything really changed? Of course not! It wouldn’t be a Gerlov record if these stories weren’t shaped like catchy pop tunes, with references to the hip psychedelic rock of The Flaming Lips or the Brian Jonestown Massacre and hints of .

And this wouldn’t be a Gerlov record if his stories weren’t drenched in a good sense of irony. In his typical voice, Gerlov narrates the estrangement of the mundane. Something that is only exacerbated by the psychedelic fuzz and electronic washes that are generously added to a very beat. If this is what happens when Gerlov turns to face the strange changes, then bring it on!
