Keytown Sound is a Reggae Dancehall soundsystem from Leiden (Holland) and formed in the end of 2003. Keytown consists of 2 members, Leon (Selecta) & Don Fayaaz (MC). Keytown is the nickname for the beautiful old city of Leiden, wich locates between Amsterdam and Rotterdam in Holland. The Key part comes from the citylogo wich shows a lion holding a sword and a shield with 2 crossed keys on it, the
keys signafy the openers of the kingdom of heaven. Back in the days around 2002 there were 2 active sounds in Leiden. One was called One Blood Sound and the other was called Ruff-E-Nuff Sound. These two crews, together with family & friends, united and decided to link up with the local venue LVC which resulted in the opportunity to start a Reggae Dancehall party in Leiden in early 2003. They decided to call it The Glue Factory, and started to make a name for themselves in The Netherlands and abroad. The original homebase called LVC had to close but relocated under a different name in 2015. New venue also resulted for Keytown Sound & The Glue Factory in a new crew & concept: after 12 years we decided to start something fresh in 2016, a brandnew Reggae Dancehall party called Top Rankin' Reggae & Dancehall of which Keytown Sound is the promoter and resident.
