Did you know that each year 1,15 - 2,41 million metric tonnes of plastics enter our oceans via rivers? That is the equivalent of 12 times the weight of a fully loaded Ever Given, the ship that blocked world shipping for 6 days.
These plastics are a great threat to marine ecosystems, human health and the environment. Therefore, we developed PlastiCity, a board game where players aim to solve and learn about the plastic pollution crisis.

This cartoon illustrates where we come in. Our games promote the dialogue, initiate creative solutions and raise awareness on common good problems related to sustainability. Currently we are working on serious games related to the plastic pollution crisis, energy transition and water scarcity in the Global South.

Last year we had the honor to host a playing session with people employed all over the Dutch water sector. Amongst other we were joined by people from Hoogheemraadschap van Rijnland, Unie Van Waterschappen en Provincie Zuid-Holland. At the end of the day everybody returned home with new insights regarding plastic pollution in our rivers.
