ZANE PRATER - SKETCHES
SKETCHES, compiles a selection of drawings and paintings created over the course of 2021 into a limited-edition art book.
The books replicate the look, feel, and intimacy of Zane’s original sketchbooks drawing the viewer deeper into the artist’s process and visual language. Each hand-bound hard-covered book is painted directly by the artist resulting in an edition of completely unique art objects.
Accompanying each book is a medium-format fine-art print that elaborates upon the imagery within the sketchbooks. Printed at 50,0 x 70,0cm on 300gsm textured fine-art paper and signed by the artist these prints stand alone as artworks in themselves.
Zane Prater is a visual artist originally from Denver, Colorado. Having trained as a classical figurative painter at the Barcelona Academy of Art he works primarily with drawing and painting while also creating land-based installations and large-scale public murals.
His work weaves together botanical illustration, visionary art, portraiture, and design in order to speak to the nature of our relationship with the richly layered tapestry of the natural world. His imagery engages with the mythopoetic narratives that we hold regarding our individual and collective roles in the landscapes that we inhabit, seeking to draw connections and find harmonies between the urban and the organic.

SUPER A - TRAPPED
SUPER A - TRAPPED
In cooperation with Super A we soon will release his first ever published book.
The book is an overview from all works made for the “Trapped” series he started working on more than 3 years ago. The book will have some really nice details and will be bound by hand. Also, we are working on a print - and a special hand-painted artist edition.
Stefan Thelen’s anti-superhero identity Super A is a Dutch artist who uses traditional painting technique and a knack for design to create compositions that manipulate familiar iconography into mind-bending and inquisitive pieces. His alter-ego, Super A is the filter with which the life and observations of Stefan Thelen are distilled down and turn into inspiration. All of his work evolves out of personal experiences or thoughts that grow into concepts which tightrope between fiction and nonfiction. Super A is a mystery that leans on the art doing most of the talking for Stefan Thelen, taking the viewer into a wonderland walking down a yellow brick road in which Thelen’s figurative and modern surrealist compositions are providing playful puzzles to decipher.
Stay tuned for more info and check https://www.instagram.com/mr.super_a/ if you like to see more of his work 😎
THE JAUNT
The second book from the Jaunt documents the creative process of 40 artists traveling all over the world. During these 40 inspiring trips the artists take photo’s, write stories, draw in their sketchbooks and eventually make a design for a limited edition artwork. The book chronicles each stage of this process.
The Jaunt creates opportunities and possibilities for artists. The project allows artists to travel the world and find inspiration – not just during the trip, but lasting inspiration that hopefully permeates their entire artistic practise. The Jaunt’s mission is to catalyse progress and feed fresh insight into the creative process of our artists. The first step in this process is taking the artist out of their comfort zone and allowing them experience completely new surroundings.
Together with three of the artists we worked on three special edition versions in an edition of 250. Parisian based illustrator Tom Haugomat who visited the island of Yakushima, Japan translated the grandness of nature in to the design for his special edition book, Chicagoan painter Laura Berger who travelled to Lima, Peru designed a balanced cover in her well recognizable color palette and Atlanta based artist HENSE who travelled to Ring of Kerry, Ireland used some colorful shapes to design his limited edition cover.
