Happy release day, , with your new album “The Rockfield Sessions Vol. 1&2”!

Today marks the release of “The Rockfield Sessions Vol. 1&2”! This beautiful live and acoustic album provides a wonderful overview of Johanna Warren’s career, especially now that she has indicated she will be focusing less on her musical career. We hope this won’t be Johanna Warren’s last album. “The Rockfield Sessions” was recorded at the legendary in Wales, where many classic songs and albums have been made. The album is pressed on classic black recycled vinyl and a limited number of randomly colored albums, also on recycled vinyl. The cover art was designed by the fantastic . is thrilled to announce our collaboration with for the release of her new album, “Rockfield Sessions Vol. 1&2,” a 2x Deluxe album with 28 live and acoustic tracks recorded at in Wales (Known from Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rapsody’).

Johanna Warren’s dedication to her art has been evident since her debut solo album, “Fates,” in 2013. She has toured extensively, performing with artists like
Mitski, Iron & Wine, and Julie Byrne. Her 2015 album “nūmūn” earned her significant recognition, with Rolling Stone naming her an “Artist You Need to Know” and Stereogum highlighting her as one of the best that year.

In 2016, she founded to focus on female and nonbinary artists and released the twin albums “Gemini I” and “Gemini II,” exploring a tumultuous relationship. After “Gemini II,” Warren’s “Plant Medicine Tour” featured over 70 shows with local herbalists and activists. Her fifth album, “Chaotic Good,” was released in 2020 to critical acclaim, followed by her sixth album, “Lessons for Mutants,” in 2022.

Listeners often told her, “Your records are cool, but I really prefer what you do live.” Inspired by this, Johanna wanted to create a raw, honest, and vulnerable album, capturing the authenticity of her live performances, complete with all the “mistakes.”
