Since we transitioned to being a “regular” record store, we’ve noticed some of you mentioning that it’s harder to find specific items on our Discogs page. No worries – here are some tips to help!

✅ Use the Filters: On the left side of the page, you’ll find the “Format” and “Genre” options. These let you filter by the music genres and formats you love most.

🔍 Search for Bands or Artists: If you’re looking for something specific, simply type the band or artist name into the search bar in the upper-right corner of the page.

💡 Example:
We selected “Rock” as the genre, “Vinyl” as the format, and searched for “Celestial Season.” Instantly, all matching items popped up!

Any orders placed after tomorrow (18:00 CET) will be shipped on January 8th, 2025, once we’re back in full swing after the holidays. First spin of the Electric Wizard Black Magic Rituals & Perversions Vol.1. Recorded live in front of no one. As they say themselves.

In a way it's still a corona record, from a time the band did not know if they were ever gonna play live again. This is the result: pretty raw and barely mastered. But still the Electric Wizard spirit shines through.

We have the Transparent Hot Pink vinyl version in, next week we'll get the Transparent Mint Green as well.

Second time we try to post this as first time the post got rejected because of the sleeve. Poster pictured also has a third side that could not be pictured here.

So the good news is: you can check out the whole album before you commit to buying. The bad news is - if indeed you want these on vinyl or cd - you have to wait till late March of next year to receive it and play it in your own home.

Ow well I guess it's the way of the industry at the moment so we have to go along.

Haven't heard a single track from the album myself but hey, it's Electric Wizard!

Below is what they say themselves about the live album that is out late next week. We'll be getting some copies on "Limited Transparent Hot Pink Double Vinyl LP".

"As the COVID pandemic took hold in 2020 and lockdown restricted movement to your immediate surrounds, the legendary British doom outfit wondered if they might ever play live again. Out in the wilds of the English Westcountry where singer/guitarist Jus Oborn and guitarist Liz Buckingham live, the band descended into their crypt-like jam space to make a live album like no other. With no audience, and no actual plan to release what they came out with, they recorded themselves into a 16-track tape machine to capture their essence, their malevolence, their heaviness.

“We’d been gigging for two years at that point, around America three times, going to Japan and Australia, and we were sounding pretty good by the end of it,” says Jus. “When the pandemic happened, we thought, ‘F**k it, maybe we’ll never play again.’ So we went into the jam room and played the songs to get them on tape to capture how we were playing at the time.”

The final product, Black Magic Rituals and Perversions Vol. 1 is as raw and heavy as one would expect from The Wizard."

BONGRIPPER's Live At Soulcrusher 2022 record - to be released February 14th next year (all though physical copies will be shipped out before Christmas) - celebrates my 15 year connection to the band.

We have been in contact since Satan Worshipping Doom (2010). That album was my Roadburn album of the year and has resulted - way later - not only in a Live At Roadburn box set but now also in a release of their set at Soulcrusher 2022.

Where they blew my mind again, don't think I ever seen them less that great live.
I am forever gratefull to the band for giving me these opportunities as a label!

This weekend the Burning World Mailorder records will go on a trip to Antwerp in Belgium for Desertfest Belgium in Antwerp. Starting Friday it will last for 3 full days of stoner/doom and the like.

Sadly Monster Magnet had to cancel but I'm sure the organisers will come up with a suitable replacement! All though it will be difficult to come up with a band of the same stature on such short notice!

Who will we see at the fest? If you are there come and say hi to Slager en me (Jurgen van den Brand) at the merch area.

We just got back from Soulcrusher Festival in Nijmegen. I think it was our fifth this year. Great vibes, great music again.

Outstanding for us were the sets by Blackbraid on Friday and Ulcerate on Saturday. We also heard good stories about Kollaps and Pharmakon.

Saleswise the last Ulcerate - Cutting The Throat Of God 2LP or CD - did well and of course the new Blood Incantation.

Thanks Freek Koster, neighbour Marald van Haasteren and all other attendants for joining in the fun.

Also heard rumours the 2025 edition is gonna be massive as well so we'll definitely will be back next year!

All though Sonic Whip next May will be first.
