Besides ambisonic ambiences, these places are also nice to record some impulse responses… 😃
This can ideally be done with speakers and a sweep, but not always bring these with me… so a balloon can also be a solution for this 🎈

There’s no such thing as ‘no sound’. But recording quiet places requires quiet equipment (mic+preamps), clothes (or taking enough distance). I love those quiet places in a field where silence is a composition of nature elements like birds, bees and wind… 🌾🕊💨

okay, i have to admit that when i run into a man with a satellite dish in his hand, 📡 i walk around it in a big arc… but man! 😬 hunting sounds with this Telinga modular is an enrichment for my arsenal. I lay down the beds with my ambisonics and with the spot sounds I complement the soundscape for an inmersive and rich sound experience… plus I don’t have to climb trees for catching those birds 🦅
