We would like to thank all participants for their wonderful contributions to this fantastic edition of the International Student LiedDuo Competition 2024! Thank you to all students and jury members!

Below you can find the complete results of the finals:

First prize (€5.000): Valerie Haunz and Sofi Simeonidis
Second prize (€2.500): Jasper Lampe and Marite Männi
Third prize (€1.500): Nina Schumertl and Amelie Warner
First Prize and a recital in the Salon de Musique de Eliane Lust in Paris: Valerie Haunz and Sofi Simeonidis

In addition, the jury awarded the following prizes:

*Aurora Festival Award: Luisa Müller and Xuan Liu
*International Lied Festival Zeist Masterclass Award: Tatsuki Sakamoto and Yumeko Kawakami
*Vrienden van het Lied Incentive Award: Jasperina Verheij and Willem van den Dool
*Prize for the best theatrical performance: Nina Schumertl and Amelie Warner
*Prize Recital Salon de Musique de Eliane Lust in Paris: Valerie Haunz and Sofi Simeonidis

During the semi-finals the jury was joined by the student jury (consisting of 3 students of the Prins Claus Conservatorium Groningen) to award the Student Jury Prize: Mariya Medetova and Johan Girardin. They will perform at the Aurora Festival 2025.

The competition will start next week, kicking off with a songrecital on 13 November by the students of the vocal department of Prins Claus Conservatorium Groningen, hosted by jurymember soprano Hanneke de Wit. 1st round in 14 and 15 November.
Masterclass in the evening of 15 November by jurymember mezzo soprano Stotijn.
16 November theatrical semifinals, around the theme “Sing a while longer”.
27 November: Finals in SPOT Muziek Oosterpoort,hosted by radiopresenter Hans van den Boom.

And we already know JongSun Woo and Giacomo Schmidt very well in Groningen.
In November 2022 they were the winning duo of the International Student LiedDuo Competition, and were invited for a recital in SPOT Muziek last May.
We’re proud they continue their journey in such a successful way!
Highly recommended, the other duo in Zeist is promising as well!!
