Open-source software (OSS) is making a comeback. Well, the web as we know it was literally built on open-source, so it technically never left.

But after a long era of proprietary software—usually built on top of open-source software—and walled gardens dominating our lives, many companies, teams, and individuals are choosing to build better than before by living and working in open source fashion.

Staying up-to-date with all the available solutions can be challenging for both experienced open-source enthusiasts and newcomers to the open-source space.

The worst thing about Taking Out your data from Google or Apple: all of these zip files that do not combine in the same folder.

Taking out large amounts of data usually goes with splitting up all of your data in various zip files. Whether it's all the Youtube content or Google Drive, Apple Cloud.

And when unzipping these various zip files, you get folder 1, folder 2, folder 3 which is completely destroying the initial folder structure that you used to have.

Appearently zip tools like Keka or any native integration in Apple to unzip in the same folder is something that doesn't exist.

So you need to get into the terminal to do this and this is exactly the point in video 2:22 where the magic happens:

However, sadly there's some sad news to this as well. Trustpilot can not be trusted. The review has been automatically removed.

I get a link that says that Trustpilot is committed to transparency. Followed by three possible reasons why the review has been removed. Most likely by the 3rd reason "Our fraud detection software". AKA AI.

If you do have fraud detection software and let AI do this type of thing, then at least let a human do the actual decision making. And at least just say which reason it is instead of keeping the reasoning in the dark. You say you're committed to transparency, but then you can't be specific about removing my clients review.

Last but not least, have some option to actually debate the validness of this decission. There's no option at all to argue or get support. Only noreply email addresses.

This is the last time I asked my clients to review me on a 3rd party platform such as Trustpilot. From now on I will keep collecting my own reviews in my own database for on my own website.
