News from Spaceship Earth!🛸

From now on we will continue as Next Nature Museum, located in the iconic Evoluon. Don't worry, the building will remain the same and our goal to tell the story of mankind changing its world with the fruits of knowledge, design and technology will remain the same. We will only adapt our name to better reflect our future steps.🚀

We can also reveal that we will be accepting the Museum Card from Wednesday 3 July!

At the moment there are two exhibitions you don't want to miss: RetroFuture and Spacefarming.

Set in the year 2098, the Rothiemurchus forest is one of the last remnants of a global project from the United Nations which aimed to preserve the last biodiverse places on earth. This ‘safe haven’ was separated from mankind, and replaced by an intelligent robotic infrastructure, designed to maintain the forest. 🌳

People have always been looking for ways to outsource heavy or boring work and tasks. Although robots are less common than 'normal' machines, we find them everywhere these days. Think of vacuum cleaner robots, industrial robotic arms and companion robots. Are robots the pathway to a future in which we will never have to work again? 🤖

Mankind has always been curious. The dream of being able to know everything and thus understand the world can be found everywhere in world history.

Print Wikipedia is a romantic representation of the vast amount of knowledge in our universe and the impossibility of publishing this in a fixed form: when the last part is released, the first part is already outdated. Artist Michael Mandiberg wrote software that converts Wikipedia's entire English-language database into 7,473 parts of 700 pages each. The table of contents alone is 91 parts. 📚️

📌 Print Wikipedia is currently on show in our expo RetroFuture at the Evoluon in Eindhoven
