Last Friday my sister turned 30 and in October last year she finished her studies with a few years delay. She celebrated this today (1 February) in a combined form where DJ TRAXX was allowed to stand IN THE MIX. This was at her home in Utrecht and of course DJ TRAXX is happy to hear that the DJ set was enjoyed.

It took some time to think about it, but the further mix plans for the Dynamic Deep mixes are now known for 2025! First of all, 2 mixes will be released in March: International Women's Mix '25 around the 6th of March and Dynamic Deep Napoli (renewed because of the International Women's Mixes) as a spring mix on Friday the 20th of March. After that, there are a number of activities that prevent mixing in April/May. In the summer, there will definitely be 2 summer mixes: Dynamic Deep Toulouse on June 21 and Dynamic Deep Istanbul on the 18th July. The 3rd summer mix Dynamic Deep Tours is planned if possible, but depends on the 10th DJ anniversary in August. If the possibilities are there, this 3rd summer mix will be released on the 22nd of August. More about this later. The only autumn mix is ​​Dynamic Deep Patra and will be released on September 19. Then at least 2 and a half months of work that prevents mixing: The Dutch Design Week (DDW) and GLOW with finally on November 28 the only winter mix: Dynamic Deep Axamer Lizum. A Christmas mix will unfortunately not be made, of course a New Year's mix instead will be made but in a different way. Because it is still far away, that has to be sorted out later. International Women's Day has been around since 1911, but unfortunately often full of protests. These protests are certainly understandable, partly because some countries and even companies still have unequal rights. Every year since 2021/2022, DJ TRAXX has been trying to put a positive spin on it by making a special mix for International Women's Day as a gift for all ladies: And now it is approaching again on Saturday, the 8th of March 2025. That is why DJ TRAXX will once again create a special mix this year in celebration of International Women's Day: International Women's Mix '25 with the escalators at metro station Toledo in Naples, Italy, as a dynamic background. To make this possible, DJ TRAXX would especially like to ask the ladies for your favourite songs. The deadline is the 28th of February so that composing can start on the 1st of March to be finished on time.

DJ TRAXX may not have a light show, but that doesn't mean we're standing still or sitting back! DJ TRAXX has started a special New Year's mix in CLUBHOUSE: DJ TRAXX IN THE MIX FOR THE NEW YEAR. Due to the enormous amount of work, the sound-controlled disco lights and smoke machine will not be used. There will be a number of 'uncontrolled' disco lights to give it a cool background. Of course, they are electronically controlled, but not dependent on sound, and a number of others are completely uncontrolled. The plan is to release this New Year's mix on YouTube on the 31st of December.

Improvement of my LED BLACKLIGHT!

In etwa 24 Stunden erledigt: LED-Schwarzlicht-Verbesserung. Die Anzahl der LEDs wurde von 20 auf 26 erweitert, wodurch sich auch die Leistung von 2,2 auf 2,86 W erhöhte. Hierzu wurde eine alte LED-Fliegenlampe verschrottet. Alle LEDs sind in SMD-Technik gefertigt, ebenso wie die vorhandenen LEDs. Jede LED hat eine Leistung von 110 mW bei ca. 3,4 V. Jetzt gibt es zwei Reihenschaltungen: eine mit 133,3 mA bei 6,8 V netto und eine mit 200 mA bei 10,4 V netto. Insgesamt fließt bei 12 VDC genau 1/3 A und 4 W Netz durch. Die Wechselstromversorgung hat sich nicht verändert, ebenso wenig wie die Flugzeugzelle. Auch mit dieser Verbesserung ist DJ TRAXX einfach IN THE MIX!

Done in about 24 hours: improvement of the LED blacklight. The number of LEDs has been increased from 20 to 26, which also increased the power from 2.2 to 2.86W. For this purpose, an old LED fly lamp was scrapped. All LEDs of this are made in SMD technology, just like the existing LEDs. Each LED has a power of 110mW at approx. 3.4V. There are now two series connections: 1 of 133.3mA at 6.8V net and 1 of 200mA at 10.4V net. In total, exactly 1/3A and 4W net pass through at 12VDC. The alternating current supply has not changed, and neither has the hull. Even with this improvement, DJ TRAXX is simply IN THE MIX!

Hiertoe is een oude LED vliegenlamp verschroot. Alle LED's hiervan in SMD-techniek uitgevoerd, evenals de albestaande LED's. Elke LED heeft bij ca. 3,4V een vermogen van 110mW. Nu zijn er twee serieschakelingen: 1 van 133,3mA bij 6,8V netto en 1 van 200mA bij 10,4V netto. In totaal gaat er bij 12VDC exact 1/3A en 4W netto doorheen. De wisselstroomvoeding is daarbij niet veranderd, en het casco ook niet echt. Ook met deze verbetering is DJ TRAXX gewoon IN THE MIX!

Unfortunately, there will be no Christmas mix from DJ TRAXX due to the expected busy schedule and the lack of own possibilities. A light show with the upcoming New Year's Eve by DJ TRAXX will unfortunately also not be able to go ahead due to the risk being too big for stray fireworks in combination with the lack of a safe place to be due to closed pubs. The possible result can be guessed: More than 450 euros / 470 $ / 370 GBP in damage and a lot of destroyed equipment. What then? Of course DJ TRAXX will also STAY IN THE MIX in 2025 for those who like to listen (thank you for that), but with a special because of the 10th DJ anniversary in August next year, more about that later. At least 8 mixes in total are expected by DJ TRAXX on YouTube throughout the year 2025: 6x Dynamic Deep, 1 International Women's Mix and the special anniversary mix. Also at least 4 live DJ sets are expected throughout 2025: On King's Day to raise money for the Food Bank in Eindhoven and 3x with GLOW in the form of a light show. Possibly on International Women's Day as well, but that has to be discussed in the new year. In any case DJ TRAXX wishes everyone a happy Christmas and all the best in 2025!

For those who are curious how I got my DJ name DJ TRAXX, I have the answer here: BOMBARDIER (since 2021 ALSTOM) has been building a locomotive platform since 1999, which was given a name in 2003: TRAXX; locomotives platform for Transnational Railway Applications with eXtreme fleXibilty. I have been a train enthusiast since I was 5 years old. Since 2012 I have also started to love the technical world, and as an electrician it can no longer be avoided for me. My surname and the old love for trains brought me to the name DJ TRAXX in September 2015 (a month after my actual DJ start). And let us also have quite a large number of TRAXX locomotives driving around in the Netherlands, often with freight trains, additionally since 2009 with the fairly exceptional Intercity compositions of 7 or 9 ICR carriages (in operation from 1980) between 2 locomotives (sandwich composition, similar to a club sandwich). Usually the IC service Eindhoven-The Hague, but also the IC Direct to Schiphol and Amsterdam CS as well as the IC service to Antwerp and Brussels. The TRAXX locomotives that are used for this purpose are BR186 TRAXX F140MS2E locomotives of the TRAXX 2E (Evolution) generation. We see them here in two guises: FYRA and NS. These locomotives are an improved version of the TRAXX2 F140MS, where the number 140 only has to do with the motor suspension, which is a nose suspension. An ordinary TRAXX F140 is allowed to drive 140km/h(87MPH), the F140MS2E, on the other hand, is allowed to drive 160km/h(99MPH), has a nominal power of 5600kW(7500HP) (4MW(5400HP) at 1.5kV DC, is in our IC service divided over two locomotives), a starting effort of 300kN/67,000LBf and, thanks to the possibility for 4 electric systems systems also in the Netherlands allowed on the HSL. That is precisely why, thanks to these NS 186 locomotives, the travel time to The Hague has already been reduced from over 2 hours to 82 minutes net to Den Haag Holland Spoor(basically in English: The Hague Holland Rail). The pictures? FYRA BR186 in the exit of the Groene Hart tunnel, FYRA BR186 in Rotterdam in 2008 as a test train, NS BR186 in Rotterdam Central Station and in Tilburg. These temporarily train compositions were driving for 15 years and are currently being replaced by new ALSTOM Coradia Stream trains (ICNG, InterCity New Generation) that have been nicknamed Wesp(Wasp) by us. For me it will be a bit of a loss, but in the end we just have to move on, moreover the ICR carriages are already quite old and for many the replacement will bring a significant improvement. I do dare to bet that due to the still relatively young age of the locomotives, they will be given a new destination without difficulty. But my DJ name will not be less beautiful. 2 BLACKLIGHTS at DJ TRAXX: 1 new in LED technology, the other improved with NEON paint. With this one the maximum number of disco lights of 16 pieces is reached, but the light shows will be improved a lot. DJ TRAXX STAYS IN THE MIX!

BLACK FRIDAY is coming up again and DJ TRAXX is not happy at all about that for environmental reasons. Luckily, the renewed Dynamic Deep London will be released on BLACK FRIDAY as the winter mix for 2024/25. That's nice listening during the BLACK WEEKEND. Most likely due to its own character, DJ TRAXX also has a relatively small number of fans, to whom thank you and I will also stay IN THE MIX for you! By the way; fans or not, DJ TRAXX STAYS IN THE MIX for everyone who likes it. Keep an eye on it: Dynamic Deep London, Friday, the 29th of November.

DJ TRAXX doesn't like this at all, but BLACK FRIDAY unfortunately falls on the day that the renewed Dynamic Deep London is being released: the 29th ofNovember. For environmental reasons, DJ TRAXX decided a few years ago to express its disapproval of BLACK FRIDAY, which will not change in 2024 either. However, it is understandable if a device is so far gone that it needs to be replaced. DJ TRAXX can way more recommend listening to the new Dynamic Deep London on BLACK FRIDAY or in the weekend. This can be done at work, on the road, at the gym, at home; it doesn't really matter! Of course you have to like it if you want to listen to it, and that's completely understandable. In any case, put it in your diary: Dynamic Deep London, Wintermix 2024 on the 29th of November because BLACK FRIDAY or not, DJ TRAXX STAYS IN THE MIX!

The last night for DJ TRAXX IN THE MIX for GLOW 2024 was also the last night of GLOW itself. DJ TRAXX would like to thank the GLOW organization for another great event and also the best people at Warhammer for the excellent location. Remarkably enough, the fazer (smoke machine) turned out to be empty. Even more remarkable was my mushroom that unfortunately suffered a malfunction. That will have to be looked into. The fact that this was the last night does not mean that DJ TRAXX is quitting. The next winter mix will be released at the end of November. The next DJ set may already take place on International Women's Day, but is definitely planned for King's Day.

What a great evening it was again last night for DJ TRAXX, actually better than last Saturday now that the fazer (smoke machine) has been repaired. That fazer gives a nice effect with even the 'smoke' above the lights as can be seen. However, it turned out that the fazer was unfortunately aimed: 'smoke' even came in at our neighbours of the CD Teek, which cannot have been the intention. By turning the fazer forward and crosswise, the nuisance could be solved. This adjustment will remain in place tonight to avoid nuisance for the CD Teek as much as possible. Of course DJ TRAXX was once again IN THE MIX with the necessary pleasure! Tonight is the last evening before GLOW 2024 and therefore also for DJ TRAXX IN THE MIX FOR GLOW '24. Of course DJ TRAXX can't wait to be IN THE MIX again!

After my Antari Z-350 fazer (smoke machine) had a huge malfunction on Saturday evening, I was able to determine the cause in the valve of the hose connection a day later. It is located at the bottom of the tank, but it also turned out to be bad. As a result, the tank had to be replaced in its entirety. Today the new tank arrived, which means that my fazer is fully operational again after approx. 4 days. Next Friday and Saturday DJ TRAXX will be IN THE MIX with the fazer for another cool light show. It is precisely the fazer that brought so many extras to my light shows!
