Wavy, an innovative startup, has been dedicated for years to making it easy to register, monitor, and manage heart problems at home through relaxation and exercise routines. Their focus is on a group that is often overlooked: women. With the "Personal Coach in your living room," WavyXR offers a tailor-made e-health solution for women with heart issues. A virtual, volumetric coach guides and advises them during rehabilitation, relaxation, and fitness training. The research has yielded unexpectedly positive results, with test subjects finding the XR experience user-friendly, immersive, and reliable. 💗🏠💡

As Brainport Immersive Experiences Group, we congratulate CLICKNL and the Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap on the approval of the application by the CIIIC consortium from the National Growth Fund. CIIIC stands for Creative Industries Immersive Impact Coalition. The application was submitted by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW). The top team Creative Industry, TKI CLICKNL, and the ministries of OCW and EZK initiated the application, which was developed together with 120 partners.

The proposal focuses on strengthening the Immersive Experiences (IX) industry. IX aims to immerse the user in an alternative, more or less digital reality, utilizing techniques such as Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. The application of IX, particularly in faster and smarter training and reskilling, is set to receive a significant boost. We in the Brainport region are committed to putting this application on the map.

The committee also specifically mentions the focus on content creation, which is expected to attract individuals who would otherwise choose a non-technical profession. The proposal has the potential to contribute to mitigating the shortage of technically skilled individuals. It is a contribution that everyone in the Brainport Region can support.

The Ministry of OCW and CLICKNL, along with the coalition of 120 parties, are working towards starting the program in early 2024. And we, the participating parties from the Brainport Region, will once again contribute to this effort.

🌟 News Alert! 🌟 Exciting announcement! The Imaginary Friend has been selected for the prestigious Gouden Kalf Digital Culture competition 2023! This VR experience takes you on a journey into a surreal world where you experience the story from the perspective of the main character.

The Imaginary Friend is a co-production with Studio Biarritz (NL) and Cassette for timescapes (Belgium), in collaboration with Submarine Channel (NL) and 4DR Studios (NL), Wildvreemd (NL), Demute (BE), and APVIS (NL).

The Imaginary Friend was presented as part of the Gap Financing Market at the Venice Biennale and VR DAYS Europe / IFFR PRO in 2018.

Keeping calm in stressful emergencies is essential when being a doctor. TRaining In Virtual Human Environments, better known as TRIVHE, will prepare them for these kinds of situations.

This VR-training will let general practitioners and doctors in training experience different emergency situations in a virtual environment. With the use of VR, the students can watch the volumetric actors from every angle to get a good look at how it’s best to act in that scenario.

Gemeente Waalre, a township south of Eindhoven, is filled with nature and history. What better way to bring this history to people than through a podwalk? That is exactly what Gemeente Waalre is currently working on - developing an immersive narrative walk along the Kunstroutenetwerk.

We were allowed to provide the augmented reality experiences for this podwalk. For this, we were asked to film French soldiers from 1800 in our volumetric capture stage. As a matter of fact, maps, documents and other finds have been found in the region, which can be traced back to the 49th Demi-brigade d'Infanterie de Ligne. This points to a French army camp in the Gemeente Waalre!

Early autumn 2023 is the expected launch of the app. In the meantime, you can already imagine yourself in 1800 with this behind-the-scenes video of the shooting.

The Lancaster NN775 measures a whopping 31 by 21 metres and can be admired at War Museum Overloon. The bomber, which served during World War II, consists of more than 2,000 pieces of wreckage. Museum visitors can view the silhouette of the aircraft. What the bomber looked like in action in real life? Thanks to augmented reality, the British Lancaster NN775 is now virtually flying through the museum!
