Vandaag op KBC Radio AM 891!
Op alle zondagen in december zullen Gerrit Lettinck en Hans van Kooten de middengolfzender van KBC Radio extra g***s geven met 3 uren onvervalste jaren 60 muziek!
Je hoort het geluid uit die tijd met grote namen als The Beatles, Elvis Presley en Frank Sinatra, maar ook artiesten en de 45 toeren platen die je zelden nog hoort.
Het Flower Power gevoel is terug met Gerrit en Hans, elke zondagmiddag van 12 tot 3 uur.

14.00-15.00 uur: Hans van Kooten
En daarna Het Zoute Uur.

This week's version of DX Headlines is fairly similar to last week's.
That is, the subject and the content is different of course :)

Two changes: image info via THOR is faster, and at the end of the item there is a message in the waterfall screen.

So it is 2 times SSTV PD50

A B/W image in MFSK32 at 512 Hz

Info in THOR16 at 3100 Hz

And of course watch your waterfall screen, as soon as the rest of the data stops.

Just like last week DX Headlines has two SSTV images and one in MFSK32, but with some changes:

MFSK32 at 512 Hz is a smaller picture than last week's, but it is in color;

THOR description is not in THOR 5, but in THOR 11, just like last week at 3100 Hz, which is so much faster that my text (longer than last
week's) was done after the second SSTV image started.

This week DX Headlines has the same as last week: two times SSTV in PD50, one B/W image in MFSK32 at 510 Hz simultaneously, and some limited information about the images is in THOR5 at 3100 Hz also simultaneously.

You can start multiple instances of Fldigi to be able to decode everything at the same time.

Today a different one than we did the last couple of weeks.

There's still two SSTV images, but at 512 Hz there is a third image in black and white in MFSK32.

A short description of the images is in THOR5 at 3100 Hz (this one is only during part of the item and starts after 10 secs).

This one is quite similar to last week's, with a few changes and of course a different content. Morse is 15 wpm and Slow Hell is 3250 Hz now.

So it is:

2 times PD50 SSTV

PSK63RC4 at 680 Hz (first part)

PSK63RC4 at 256 Hz (second part)

CW 15 wpm at 75 Hz

THOR Micro at 3000 Hz

Slow Hell at 3250 Hz

🌐 Recent Update on Software Plugins for Fobos SDR!

We’re glad to share a reminder about two recent software plugins that bring native SDR++ support to Fobos SDR, making it the second fully integrated software option along with uSDR.

Plugins Highlights:

Plugin 1 (by Alexander Rouma). The original repository 👉https://github.com/AlexandreRouma/SDRPlusPlus

Pros:
• Has improved capabilities on HF inputs, now you can receive HF-band waves without bandwidth limitations;
• No spectrum mirroring in HF band;
• As low as 1.2 MHz bandwidth within software downsampling.

Cons:
• Computation hungry;
• No GPO control;
• No device info.

Plugin 2 by RigExpert’s team. The original repository 👉 https://github.com/rigexpert/SDRPlusPlus

Pros:
• Native streaming, there is no intermediate software processing, less computation hungry:
• GPO control available;
• Device info provided (SW, HW, FW, API)

Cons:
• HF direct sampling only within 50 MHz sample rate;
• HF mirrored spectrum;
• RF minimal sample rate 8 MHz.

Performance Note: A PC with an Intel Core i5 3.4 GHz or higher is recommended for 50 MHz band work.
