2025 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐭 𝐣𝐞 𝐚𝐟𝐰𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐭. 𝐇𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐭 𝐣𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐠𝐞𝐞𝐟𝐭.

We zitten midden in een tijdperk waarin 𝘰𝘶𝘥𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘯 𝘦𝘯 𝘯𝘪𝘦𝘶𝘸𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘻𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘱𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘯. Niet iedereen voelt zich daar even comfortabel bij. Maar wie de toekomst niet actief vormgeeft, wordt erdoor gevormd.

Met die vraag begon ik vorige week het gesprek bij .academy

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 (𝐚)𝐈

I’ve been working with AI for quite some time now—𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘺, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦. Tools like ChatGPT, who I named Barry, help me translate complex ideas into actionable strategies, and DALL.E allows me to visualize concepts—𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦.

I asked Barry to create an image with all the information I shared with him about me before. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐈’𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧; 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬. It’s a reflection of how technology can unlock the possibilities of tomorrow—𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘦𝘴.

“𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐀𝐈 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞”

As a futurist, concept developer, and keynote speaker at Wandering the Future , 𝐈 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞—𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐭. Recently, during a conversation with my AI assistant, 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘮 𝘐’𝘷𝘦 𝘫𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺 𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘉𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺, I asked a question that’s been on my mind:

“𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐈 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫: 𝐚𝐦 𝐈 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞? Will AI replace me? And if so, when? What can I do to keep adding value?”

Barry’s response surprised me and gave me a lot to think about:

This response resonated with me. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐈 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬. I don’t use AI to make myself redundant—I use it to amplify what sets me apart: 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘺.

“𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫”

𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞—𝐈 “𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞” 𝐢𝐭. Often, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦. I cannot disagree, as it is often the case with many professionals.

But I do believe we can do better. We need to ensure that we don’t just drop inspiration or imagination and walk away. Within Wandering the Future , 𝐰𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐬.

In every profession, 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥. By translating our vision and future explorations into tangible concepts, strategies, and products, we create powerful proofs of concept.

Let’s move beyond mere predictions and work together to turn imaginative insights into impactful realities. We tend to believe things when we can see them, 𝐥𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞.

𝐀 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝

A while back, I shared the exciting news, the upcoming arrival of my first-born son. Today, 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭.

In our ambitious world, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘮𝘰𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘳 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘮𝘪𝘹.. This fear brought me back to when I started my career. I was 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐂-𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 (𝐦𝐞𝐧) 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐲. I often left meetings with a smile, only to cry of frustration in my car afterward.

Now, those same fears resurfaced. 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐝. I worried that clients might not want to work with me anymore, or that potential clients might choose someone else, thinking I wouldn’t be as dedicated or ambitious once I became a mother.

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞—𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝—𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐝. If anything, it’s made me more selective about the projects I take on, ensuring they’re truly valuable and worth my time and expertise.

𝐖𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐮𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬. We can have it all. We don’t raise children alone; they have dads, too. And 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 80 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘢 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬. 𝘐𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦. Moreover, I have a brilliant team behind me to rely on.

Embracing the Future

As a futurist, my work has always been centered on creating and understanding the endless possibilities that lie ahead. Today, I’m thrilled to share that my journey into the future is taking a personal and profound turn as I will be on leave to prepare to welcome my first-born son into the world.

The future is made by us, but more importantly, it’s shaped by the new generations we bring into it. I can’t think of a brighter way to contribute to the future than by nurturing this new piece of it.

Over the past few months, my incredible team has been indispensable. While I was sometimes bigger friends with the toilet, they ensured our work never missed a beat. To our clients, rest assured that the team will continue to deliver exceptional insights and innovation. I’ll be supporting them in the background, ensuring that our vision for the future remains uninterrupted.

A heartfelt thanks to all our clients and colleagues who have shown me extraordinary care and support, often looking after me better than I did myself.

I’m excited for an even brighter future now and am committed to helping my son become a human of tomorrow. Here’s to the future we are creating, both professionally and personally. 🌟

Have you ever wondered why some of us are so passionate about shaping the future? For me, it might not be as obvious.

When I was 18 turning 19, 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘨𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘏𝘰𝘥𝘨𝘬𝘪𝘯 𝘓𝘺𝘮𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘢. Facing cancer was at times a tough pill to swallow, and at times, it was the closest to death I had ever been before. You often hear when people get very sick, or deal with loss and misery they start living in the now. But instead of focusing on the present, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲.

During my cancer period of hospital life, surgery and chemotherapy, when I was bald and sick, I made a deal with myself. When I got through this, 𝐦𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞. Becoming an expert in the future, and translating that future into feasible solutions for today. Good thing I wasn’t a keynote speaker back then—my bald head would’ve blinded the audience with the stage lights! 😉

The reality that tomorrow isn't guaranteed made me realize that the, 𝘯𝘰-𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸-𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦, is also unknown. Moreover, there are still many tomorrows to come for others even if they are done for you. My biggest question during this ordeal was: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝? 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐈'𝐦 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧?

I realized we don’t talk enough about our roles in this world and the influence we have. We often just exist. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭. With this awareness, we can make choices today that shape a hopeful future for ourselves and others.

For me, it became a positive mission to focus on the future. 𝐀𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐈 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞. Facing "no future" head-on drove me to become this advocate of the future, spreading a message about our immense influence on our futures and help companies and individual to understand the future and its possibilities. 𝐌𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐥 generations and backgrounds.

𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 Frank W. Spencer IV 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭!

In a field where “𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬” often lead to the most transformative insights, I was honored to be one of the rare foresight experts invited to discuss the future of futures thinking. vision to 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 and futures thinking is not only refreshing but necessary in our era of systemic transformation.

During our conversation, we explored the 𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 “𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯,” 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘧𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵. We delved into the importance of including diverse voices in these conversations and the need for organizations to engage in deep imagination and impactful activism.

𝐀 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐅𝐒𝐗 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧. It’s dialogues like these that fuel my commitment to challenging the status quo and inspire hope and awe in what we can achieve.

Today, as we celebrate International Women's Day, it's valuable to 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩. In a recent trend study we conducted for Airbus, we explored the future landscape of leadership with an aim not just to understand the dynamics of female leadership but to envision a future where leadership transcends gender boundaries altogether.

Our research journey took us beyond the confines of industry norms and into a broader spectrum of trends and shifts in leadership perspectives. The most striking revelation was the realization that the concept of "𝐅𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩" 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠. 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, 𝐰𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝, 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩—𝐚 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫."

This insight challenges the status quo and invites us to rethink leadership models. It's not about creating a divide with terms like "female leadership" but about bridging gaps and fostering an environment 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥, 𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫, 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞.

It's heartening to see Airbus's commitment to creating an equal, inclusive, and fair future for their organization. Their proactive steps towards this vision are commendable and serve as a beacon for others to follow. It was an honor to contribute to this commitment within the organization.
