🎄 Christmas is a time for sharing, and what better way to do that than through food? We welcomed students, alumni, staff, and guest lecturers at our Christmas party to celebrate the upcoming holidays before our winter break.

We provided drinks and snacks while also encouraging guests to bring a dish from their home country. And they truly came through! Our student and staff community is incredibly international. To see where our students hail from, take a look at the food and drinks in the pictures.

If you’re interested in the production process of a famous iconic album, Alessandro is the go-to person! Engaging with him is a pleasure for both students and staff alike. A few years back, he penned an article on what he considers one of the most legendary Christmas albums ever: A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector. This album significantly influenced Alessandro’s love for pop music. His article was published in the renowned Italian magazine Letter Zero, and shortly thereafter, he created an English version.

The article is a tribute to music production, the intricacies of recording, and the synergy of an exceptional producer, talented musicians, and a unified vision that leads to greatness. Our full-time students recently toured the stunning Studio 150 in Amsterdam. Passionate owners Peter Riebeek and Joeri Saal guided us through the facility, showcasing their impressive collection of vintage microphones and offering valuable insights into recording, mixing, and the unique challenges of operating a studio and business. We think it's crucial for aspiring music producers, sound engineers, and music professionals to learn from industry experts and explore various opportunities for hands-on experimentation, analysis, and entrepreneurial thinking. Studio 150 - Bethlehemkerk functions as a state-of-the-art music recording studio, a live music venue, and a centre for live streaming, among other opportunities. It is situated in a beautifully restored historic church dating back to 1924.

Recording and . As part of their recently released EP titled "Alcobaca," The Poet & The Bard captured the essence of their music by recording several tracks on analog tape. Supported by talented students from both the Abbey Road Institute and SAE Institute, this session showcased the creativity and passion of artists who are alumni of the Abbey Road Institute. It was a remarkable experience, and we look forward to sharing more footage soon.
