Ni Made Roni, female entrepreneur and owner of Made Tea in Indonesia, is taking her business to the next level thanks to advice on the production process, logistics, packaging, online marketing and a grant of PUM's Hans Blankert Fund.

PUM clients are sometimes able to achieve major progress by making small investments. The Hans Blankert Fund (HBF) can assist them in these efforts to grow, innovate and improve their sustainability. The fund does so by providing an additional grant to the client's own contribution. The HBF has a special facility for stimulating female entrepreneurship.

The company of Ni Made Roni, Made Tea, a producer of herbal tea in Indonesia is a good example: with the support of HBF the female client was able to purchase new machines, increase production and provide more work for women in the surroundings.

When traveling I am always on the lookout for creativity, art and/or something unique that reminds me of the places I wander. This week I visited Dandora in Nairobi; one of Africa’s largest unregulated landfill sites. In the middle of this slum, with endless piles of garbage, I finally met Otieno Joan. This creative lady initiated a wonderful project called Warembo Wasanii art studioA community based of female artists that empowers woman and girls through art of / with recycled materials from the landfill. I bought some nice little pieces and it was great to visit! Keep up the good work Joan!

𝗪𝗶𝗷 𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 𝘁𝗼𝗲!

Een nieuw jaar, dus weer nieuwe kansen en doelen om ons op te richten.
Wij gaan ons volledig richten op ons doel voor de komende 3 jaar, namelijk: tenminste op 100 scholen het CLASSwork programma uitrollen, waardoor het onderwijs van 60.000 leerlingen in Oost-Afrika verbetert.

Wat zijn jullie doelen en op welke manier ga jij je steentje bijdragen aan deze wereld?

Teachers are at the heart of the CLASSworks programme of Digital Education Africa Network (DEAN). With digital tools, educational content and an extensive 21st century skills training DEAN guides teachers in their teaching so they can prepare students for their future.

Especially in these exceptional Covid times. Currently I am supporting Dire Dawa Institute of Technology in Ethiopia to assist with a plan for a new incubation center.
