In America, over 40 million acres of land are covered by lawn
Rather than alleviating change, lawns are contributing to it. The main culprits are lawn equipment, specifically gas powered leaf blowers and lawn mowers, and synthetic fertilizers.

David Attenborough has urged Brits that this common gardening task shouldn't occur until mid-July.: "Nowhere here is richer in wildflowers and insect pollinators than our traditional hay meadows. Sadly, in the last 60 years, we've lost 97% of this precious habitat".
