PHOTO OF THE DAY 📸 31m sailing yacht Marama anchored in Chile

Designed by naval architect Dominique Presles with exterior styling by Pierrejean Design Studio, Marama had an extended construction period, starting in 1994 and concluding in 2009 at the N2A shipyard in France.

Constructed with an aluminium hull and superstructure, the vessel offers robust expedition capabilities and a sailing rig designed for extended periods at sea without sole reliance on engine power. She is powered by a single John Deere diesel engine, enabling a cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum speed of 12 knots. Notably, Marama has been involved in various expeditions to remote locations such as Antarctica, Cape Horn, and Patagonia, reflecting her capability in challenging conditions.
