‼️ Three yachts damaged from yacht fire in Marseilles, France
A major fire broke out on Thursday evening at Port de la Lave near Corbières Beach, west of Marseilles, destroying two yachts and severely damaging a third. The fire broke out onboard the 26.88-metre Leopard yacht Naisca IV, before spreading to the nearby vessels.
Authorities report that the blaze began at 17:29 local time on 9 January, with Marseilles firefighters deploying 63 personnel, 19 vehicles, aerial reconnaissance drones and the Caesar firefighting robot to combat the rapidly spreading flames.
The operation became more difficult as the 22.7-metre OCEA yacht Aldabra and a 17-metre flybridge yacht broke free from their moorings, hampering containment efforts. Firefighters extinguished the blaze nearly six hours later at 23:23.
Naisca IV and the 17-metre yacht which was moored on its port side were destroyed and partially sunk due to extensive fire damage, while Aldabra, which was moored to starboard, sustained severe fire damage on its port side.
Authorities deployed oil containment booms covering a 100-metre area around the affected site to manage environmental risks. No casualties have been reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

🚀The 30.5-metre Acico motor yacht Ursus has been relaunched from the Balk Shipyard in Urk, the Netherlands following an extensive refit, which saw her extended by six-metres. The SuperYacht Times team were in attendance, alongside the owner and the Balk Shipyard team to celebrate the completion of her rebuild.
Originally 23.9-metres and launched in 2016 as part of the Drettmann Bandido 80 series, Ursus features exterior design by Focus Yacht Design, while her interior and naval architecture were penned by Drettmann Yachts.
Conceived as a pocket diesel-electric yacht, Ursus arrived at Balk Shipyard in 2022, with work including the addition of new bow and stern sections, to complete her six-metre extension. Balk Shipyard worked in cooperation with Mulder Design and the owner’s team on the rebuild, with the main objective of improving the vessel’s seakeeping performance and onboard living spaces.

New interior images of the Tankoa superyacht Diamond Binta have been unveiled for the first time as the yacht joins the market with an asking prife of US$64,500,000💸
The yacht, which is offered exclusively by Sinos S.A., was signed in 2021, launched in June 2024, and is available for immediate delivery to her new owner.
The 1,013 GT superyacht features an exterior design from the boards of Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski, who collaborated on her interiors with Margherita Casprini, while her naval architecture comes from the boards of Tankoa Yachts. This full-custom yacht was designed for an owner who is already acquainted with Tankoa Yachts, as the previous owner of the 50-metre S501 Binta d’Or.

Video: 37m Nordhavn yacht My Aurora collides with Royal Caribbean cruise ship in Nassau.
The video shows damage to the antenna of My Aurora after hitting one of the lifeboats attached to Allure of the Seas, but the full extent of damage for both vessels is still unclear. At the time of publication, no injuries have been reported from either vessel.
