Today marks the 80st anniversary of D-DAY, june 6th 1944. A view years ago I was fortunate to direct a documentary about UK Veteran Alan King, who, as so many of his fellow hero’s, landed on the shores of Normandy to help liberate Europe from the Nazi’s. We traveled his journey with 3 Dutch gamers. The fellow veterans we met and the stories they shared, I will never forget!!

This is my nephew Floris (10). Two weeks ago he arrived on a trauma helicopter at this hospital heli platform. Fighting for his life due to a horrible explosion. After 2 nail biting days on the IC he woke up and started to recover. Tomorrow he will leave to go home for a challenging but confident recovery. Floris just had one wish before he goes home.
