The Blue Planet landed at the in Hong Kong on March 13!
Co-hosted with Zhenhe Culture, the 6th Blue Planet was officially commenced to receive submission from all over the world. A forum "Chinese Science Fiction Film, Fusion and Co-creation" was also held to explore the ways to move forward the development of Chinese sci-fi towards diversified directions.

4th Blue Planet Sci-Fi Film Festival Theme - "YUAN"
Yuan, meaning “beginning” in Chinese, is an exploration of essence.
Science fictions, with infinite time and space, are searching for hidden existence of being, fear and love.
Blue Planet started from China's "First Year of Sci-Fi Films",
embracing "Empathy" in isolation in 2020,
welcoming "Migration" in stagnation in 2021，
In 2022, let's return to the "yuan", the beginning, pondering why we started.
Time and space are infinite, and everything returns to the beginning.

So glad to announce our partnership with Bilibili again this year to discover great works posted on this video platform, as the 4th Blue Planet Sci-Fi Festival submission deadline is extended to Dec. 15. Last year, our entries received 1.67 million views on Bilibili.

In the 2022 Venice International Film Festival that was just wrapped up, the Blue Planet presented nine Chinese short at the main venue - Sala Volpi, which are directed by some of the most talented Chinese filmmakers, including Mr. Lu Chuan, known for his work in "Kekexili".

What a blast at the 1st stop of our 2022 screening tour in Nanjing! Beside screening award-winning films at the Blue Planet #FilmFestival in the past three years, we hosted a "Mars Marketplace" for #scifi-themed souvenir trade and a "Party under Starry Sky" for #sciencefiction #film production.
As we're open to receive new submissions for the 4th Blue Planet #SciFi #FilmFestival this year, a global #screening tour has also kicked off to present the award-winning #films from the previous editions. We are seeking & welcoming partners to join this tour starting from China.
Pitching session of 3rd Blue Planet Sci-Fi Film Festival
Beside our base in Niushoushan, Nanjing, the 3rd Blue Planet hosted part of its events in the China National Film Museum (Beijing), including script pitching sessions. A total of 224 #scifi #film and 42 #TVseries joined the competition and six projects were eventually awarded.

It was a tough job for our jury to select the best ones out of all the brilliant works that joined the 3rd Blue Planet #scifi #filmfestival competition, but 12 of them were shortlisted into the final round for their mind-blowing imagination and outstanding artistic expression.

Thanks to the great support of our partners including SCI-FI-LONDON Film Festival, SITGES Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya, Tencent Animation and Comics, and Bilibili, we received a total of 254 amazing #scifi #films from all over the world.
