✨Maarten Voorman’s single Confettibrein

Confettibrein (Dutch for “Confetti Brain”) was written shortly after Maarten Voortman  was diagnosed with ADHD – “Quite a few pieces of the puzzle fell into place astt that point”, Maarten says. “The piece describes the hyperactive monkey mind with big jumps, distorted rhythms and dissonant sounds.” This is the 2nd single of the upcoming album “Haas” with is entirely about dealing with a burn out. The album was recorded November 2023 in Amsterdam at Studio 150, feat. Mo van der Does on alto saxophone, Hendrik Mueller on bass and Jeroen Batterink on drums.

✨NAUSYQA’s album PUNQ

Guitarist/composer Ronny deCarlo was one of the three winners of ‘Keep an Eye - The Records’ contest 2023. “This band felt like a real band with a really fresh sound. We enjoyed the fun that radiated from the stage,” said the jury. With the cash prize of 10,000 euros, Ronny deCarlo went into the studio and came out with ‘Nouveau Fonque. He draws inspiration from film music, from R&B, Hip Hop, EDM and Nintendo music of his youth in the 1990s, from contemporary beat-based music from LA and London, Latin American rhythms and New Orleans’ soul and grit.

✨Micheal Murray’s album Rounded Nature

Pianist and composer Philipp Rüttgers, of German descent, has been active in the Dutch jazz scene for 15 years. In 2018 he received the annual composition assignment of North Sea Jazz. On his upcoming album ‘Etudes of Shapes and Forms’ Philipp, presents an acoustic piano trio, featuring the versatile Thomas Pol on double bass and rising star Sun-Mi Hong on drums. Craigs Dance is his reference to Craig Taborn, one of the pianist/composers that inspires him. Release concerts 6/3 at Breble, 9/3 at Transition, and 10/3 at Bimhuis !

✨Fedrica Lorusso - Incontri (Radio edit)

Following the success of her 2022 debut, Outside Introspections, Federica Lorusso is releasing the 2nd  single of her upcoming album Incontri (“Encounters” – to be released on February 14). The album is a deeply personal reflection of Federica’s musical and personal growth, shaped by her experiences in cities like Bari, Amsterdam, and New York. The single version of the album title track is a Radio Edit version, featuring Claudio Jr De Rosa on tenor saxophone.

de Volkskrant speelt loftrompet over Lucas Santana De plaat komt later dit jaar :-)

Het ensemble speelde al prachtig, maar met topmuzikanten als Suzan Veneman (trompet) en Efraim Trujillo (tenorsaxofoon) in hun midden mocht je van het soleerwerk ook wel het een en ander verwachten.

JA, ons album is nu ook digitaal te beluisteren! Ik ben er heel blij mee. Voor het prachtige boekje met beelden van de film en het verhaal zul je overigens echt de cd moeten kopen, maar de greatest hits van het programma zijn nu op alle platforms in suitevorm te beluisteren: https://pias.ffm.to/princeachmed
