✨Ant Law & Alex Hitchcock single “Fear of Flying”

‘House of Light’ is the upcoming album by guitarist Ant Law and saxophonist Alex Hitchcock. Their collaboration started in 2002 (remember Covid?!) with the release of ‘Same Moon in the Same World’, featuring an international roster of guests, including Joel Ross,  Linda Oh, Kendrick Scott, Shai Maestro, Jasper Høiby and Sun-Mi Hong. The latter two join the UK duo also on this new venture. Band will play London Jazz Fest (November 23) and is presenting the new album on Transition Festival at TivoliVredenburg (March 28). First single is ‘Fear of Flying’.

✨Eloi Pascual album “Movement in the Distance”
 
Following the critically acclaimed reception of his debut album “Amarea”(2024), drummer composer Eloi Pascual returns to the stage with “Movement in the Distance”. Again accompanied by Chaerin Im on piano and Matteo Mazzù on bass, the trio welcomes guitarist Fabien Vuattoux. The trio sound of “Amarea” – inspired by French impressionism and the likes of Radiohead, Ahmad Jamal and Brad Mehldau – is being enriched with a fine blend of jazz fusion and enfolds influences by Jakob Bro and Charlie Hayden as well as Messiaen and Debussy.

✨Ernesto Montenegro album “Prelude to Now”
 
“Prelude to Now” is the debut album of Canarian trumpetist and composer Ernesto Montenegro, who is currently based in the Netherlands. Among the members of his quintet are guitarist Ella Zirina and bass player Ton Felices. Both are being featured in the title track. Drawing inspiration from Black American music and post-bop Jazz in particular, Montenegro’s compositions are marked by a profound harmonic sophistication with improvisation as their core.
