Dubs For Palestine

As the world is watching a genocide unfold in Gaza, we as reggae and dub soundsystem actors want to join our voices to all those standing in solidarity with Gaza and Palestine, trying to help whichever way they can. For more than 7 months, we have been witnessing an unimaginable scale of horror and suffering, backed by a colonial racist discourse by officials and media organizations. As active members of this scene, we cannot let our music's values of fighting injustice, colonialism, apartheid and racism remain words and abstract ideals.

The main aim of this compilation is to raise awareness among the soundsystem community about the situation. It is also a way of showing our solidarity and support towards the Palestinians who have been struggling for decades and who are now facing an unprecedented massacre.

Collectively released by: Kamel, Agobun Riddim Section, Sissi, Jah Works Outernational, Oulda, Sistah Lore, Dan I Locks, Arise Sound System, Lynn Forte, Jah Rej, Mostec, Ras Kush, Black Redemption records, True Earth records, Submission Soundsystem, Unity Soundsystem, Gastronomy.

Each Track was produced, recorded & mixed separately.

One of my favourite things to do at Earth Works Amsterdam was to just sit down in the back of the control room, try to keep my mouth shut and watch Rej Forte set up a mix.

Through the years I must've asked him a thousand questions, and always he was happy to share his philosophy, knowledge & insights.
I'm thankful for all the reasonings about life, for all the terrible puns we enjoyed, and for the guidance he so willingly offered.

What a humble, kind soul he was. I don't think he truly realized how much we revered him, and how much an impact he had on all of us.

I feel honored to have gotten the chance to work with him. His legacy shall live on through his music, and through the lives of all of us that he had such an influence on.

Our guests for this edition will be Inner East Soundsystem outta Tilburg. Running sessions for the better part of a decade, operating their own sound since '19, getting busy on the production front: Inner East is making a definite mark on the Dutch soundsystem scene.
