Via // Otra River in Norway has the most beautiful and bizarre Brown Trout in the world! No this is not a Marbled Trout (which is a totally different species), it is the result of some unique local adaptations and genes. Let me know if you want to buy this as a present for someone that matters.

Via // A modified Low Rider Emerger from the originator Ryan Meulemans. The fly is also named Princeps. Dear child has many names, as we say in Norway. I don’t really care. What I care for is that I love tying and fishing with emergers that are presented flush in the film. Easy prey🦅And this one really comes alive during the hatch of mayflies. What a fly! What a pattern! My best tips is: Tie some for yourself. These are tied on the NEW Mustad Classic Dry R50AP size 16. Chemical sharpened. They really bite. Perfect for Leptophlebia vespertina in May.

Via // I’ve been working on this Brown Trout for many months. I actually grabbed it during the fire emergency evacuation of our city in late August and ended up slowly finishing it in a small hamlet known as the community of Behchoko. I lived in a motel and ate boiled Pike and Minute Rice for every meal. But as it got dark and I lit up my drafting lamp, my imagination would take me to the shores of Loch Shin in the Scottish northwest Highlands where fish like this magnificent trout rule the waters.
