My most memorable sighting of my trip in Kruger was seeing two tiny lion cubs in a tree, waiting for mum to return. A few days earlier I had seen these cubs with their mum near a waterhole and I was hoping to find them again, but I never imagined searching for them in trees. I waited all day for mum to return, but when the sun set she still wasn't there

Peek-a-boo
How exciting to see a lioness with three cubs walking on the road ❤️ I quickly parked my car to take a few shots. As the lioness walked towards me her cubs followed. This cub was a bit skittisch but curious enough to have a peek at me, safely from behind her mum's legs. 🥰

A mating couple far from the many tourists at the S100.

While most of the tourists parked their cars near sleeping white lion Casper, I decided to move on, getting away from the crowd and drive a bit further. I'm glad I did. I found this mating couple quite close to the road with only a few visitors and for most of the time I had them all to myself. I love the expression on the face of the female.

During my time in the field with the Lion Survey team I was fortunate to photograph and film two lionesses being collared by the in collaboration with . To be able to protect these lionesses and their pride it is very important to monitor their movement in case they get too close to the borders of the park, or even worse, out of the park where there is a high risk of poaching.

For six weeks I have been part of the lion survey team. Searching for and taking identification photos of lions in northern Kruger Natiinal Park. It has been an horour to have been working with this incredible team, all with the same passion for lions and lion conservation.
