PROSPERITY YOUTHS COALITION(PYC) ON THE MOVE:
PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO HON. BASIL KENBO ON THE DEATH OF HIS FATHER, AND SOLIDARITY VISIT TO HON. BRIGIDI IRIGHA ON HIS BUTCHED ILLEGAL ARREST BY UNMARKED SECURITY PERSONNEL.
The Prosperity Youths Coalition (PYC) as part of its duties saddled on it by the Prosperity Government and as loyal foot soldiers of the government ably led by His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri the Executive, today paid condolence visit to the Technical Adviser to the Governor on Federal Projects Hon. Basil Kenbo, over the death of his father Pastor Kenbo who died recently at the age of 77years following a brief illness. The PYC led by its Director-General Snr. Comr. Doubra Kumukou sympathized with the Kenbo family and prayed God to grant each member of the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Speaking at the visit the DG Comr. Doubra assured Hon. Basil that youths of the state stand strong with him at this hour of grief as members of the family united under the covering of the all accommodating umbrella that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has evolved to become.
Barr. Igbeta Ayebakuro who’s the scribe of the group spoke earlier on behalf of the group and while informing the host the purpose of the visit, remarked that the Late Pastor Kenbo lived a virtues life and would be remembered for his contributions to society, thanking God for the gift of men like Hon. Basil who were raised with integrity and the fear of God to now becoming strength and motivation for the youth of today.
The PYC assured the TA and his family of their readiness to provide every support within their means to ensuring that their late father is given a befitting burial, requesting that active roles be assigned the youths of the Prosperity Government at the burial.
The entourage of the PYC included dignitaries notable amongst whom are the Chairman of the Bayelsa Volunteer Service High Chief Asanakpo, Hon. Igodo, Hon. Seigha Augustine, Hon. Ebiki Timitimi, Hon.Preye Okoriye, Hon.Satarigha, and others.
The group thereafter proceeded to the Bayelsa State House of Assembly Quarters for a solidarity visit on Hon. Edward Irigha Brigid the honourable member representing Nembe Constituency II in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
The general public especially Bayelsans were thrown into confusion and apprehension when some unmarked and unidentified men claiming to be security operatives attached to the SWAT Unit of the Nigerian Police Force whisked away the admired honourable in a botched abduction attempt. It was gathered that heavily armed men acting on some malevolent, mischievous and illegal orchestrations broke in and abducted Hon. Brigidi at gunpoint. To God be the glory it took the swift intervention of the Miracle Governor Sen. Douye Diri and his dependable/workaholic Deputy Sen.Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo to botch the illegal abduction dubbed arrest.
At Hon. Brigidi’s residence the PYC thanked him for opening his doors wide open to receive the body even at the very short notice, Barr. Igbeta speaking on behalf of the body thanked God for the miraculous rescue as no one can guess the evil intention of the abductors and those behind the commando style operation, assuring that being a member of the legislature, Hon. Brigidi irrespective of his political leanings and affiliations is now a property of Bayelsa State and his security is a shared responsibility of every institution and organ of the state.
The delegation prayed God to protect, preserve and guard the Honourable member from those that seek to cause him arm or hurt.
The DG Senr. Comr. Doubra Kumokuo remarked that even though the danger has been averted, Hon. Brigidi should feel free to call on youths of the state in the slightest sign of danger, as the PYC has enough capacity to thwart any devilish manipulations aimed at his office and life.
Hon. Edward Irigha Brigidi thanked the delegation for finding time to visit him in the face of the ugly incident, and irrespective of the party differences. He noted that he emerged as a member of the house primarily because the constituents have now moved away from the concept of party loyalty to voting on the merits and character of the individual contestants, and that he as a person believes in the will and capacity of Douye Diri and his team to deliver the dividends of democracy to Bayelsans.
