YESTADAY's ELECO SCREENING

I give God the glory for been successfully screened and presented with a certificate of clearance by the National Electoral Committee of the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide.

The session was thorough as I was drilled for more than 45 minutes of my agenda for Council.

I restated my New Era plans and my commitment to the Ijaw National project when giving the opportunity to serve as president of Council.

I always feel nostalgic seeing and feeling the organic love from the people, most especially, the enthusiasm and the eagerness to see the New Era come through.

Yesterday, Comr. Ebilade Ekerefe the Presidential hopeful attended the burial of Late Deaconess Mrs. Janet Tonprebofa Yinkore, mother to our national leader, Dibi Yinkore and former Speaker of the Ijaw Youth Council Mobile Parliament, Deme Yinkore at Ozobo Community in Delta state.

It was a wonderful moment seeing old friends and exchanging pleasantries with other notable Ijaw youths at the funeral gathering.

Yesterday;
Comr Ebilade Ekerefe Incoming President of Council paid a consultative visit to his friend and ally, the president of Opu-Nembe Kingdom, Comr. Ayerite Moses on issues of Ijaw national interest.

ON MILITARY INVOLVEMENT ON CRUDE OIL THEFT:

On the 24th September, 2022, the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide through the office of the Spokesman alleged the top echelon of the Nigerian military and their rank and files for been actively involved in the crude oil theft going on in the Niger Delta region.

It gladdens my heart that our national leader, Alahaji Mujahid Asari Dokubo has amplified it during his recent press briefing at the state house, Abuja.

It is a statement of fact and the military can not deny it.

They collude with their foreign criminal syndicates, the NNPC and including corrupt government officials to perpetrate this economic sabotage.

This is a multibillion dollar business that requires a president with balls to stop. However, with the way president BAT is going, I’ve no doubt in my mind that he’ll put and end to this mess. I wish him goodluck.

IYC National Elections: New Era Campaign Trail Visits Western Zone Excos

National Spokesman of the Ijaw Youth Council and leading presidential aspirant in the forthcoming national elective convention, Comrade Ebilade Ekerefe, Yesterday, paid a consultative visit to the Ijaw Youth Council IYC Western Zone Excos and leadership at Warri, Delta State.

The New Era Campaign trail led by Comr. Ebilade Ekerefe, said this is part of his already commenced consultation across the region in a bid to actualise his ambition to be the 9th president of Ijaw Youth Council IYC Worldwide.

Ebilade disclosed some of his agendas and plans which is christened to be the New Era for Ijaw Youth Council IYC Worldwide if elected President of council.

"I am not here to campaign against any other aspirant, I believe you all know me by my activities not only as the current spokesman of council, but also by previous positions I’ve occupied.

LETTER OF RESIGNATION:

It’s a great pleasure and privilege to have served the Ijaw nation in my capacity as Spokesperson of the Ijaw Youth Council in the last three years.

While in office, I diligently carried out my duties to the best of my abilities within the circumstances I found myself and I give God the glory for his grace and mercies during my tenure in office despite the associated challenges.

I’m proud to say that we recorded some remarkable achievements in office and history will definitely absolve me.

However, in line with the electoral guidelines of the National Electoral Committee of the Ijaw Youth Council which stipulates that aspirants vying for elective offices must tender their resignation thirty (30) days before the election, I, Comr. National Spokesman of the Ijaw Youth Council and leading Presidential aspirant in the forthcoming national elective convention, Comrade Ebilade Ekerefe, earlier today, paid a condolence visit to Izon Music Icon, Chief Barrister .S. Smooth alias the Paddle of Niger Delta, over the loss of six members of his band in a fatal auto crash along the Lokoja-Abuja expressway while on their way to a ceremony in Abuja last weekend.

The New Era Campaign trail, led by Comr. Ebilade Ekerefe, during the condolence visit to the Warri residence of the music icon, expressed their heartfelt condolences, prayed for the families whose loved ones are affected to be strengthened to bear the loss.

Ekerefe also Shared in his moment of sobriety and a hurt of immeasurable magnitude of our collective emotions. The entire ijaw nation are no doubt, devastated and shocked at this tragedy he started.

"Our hearts and prayers, as well as thoughts as Ijaw people are with the Chief Smooth Tubor music crew as well as other affected families. No words, no words, indeed, can heal this deep cut; only self consolation and stronger faith in God can do”, Ebilade said.

As the wind of stakeholders engagements and consultations takes a high altitude ahead of the biggest and largest ingathering of youths in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State code named "EKELGA YOUTH CONFAB FOR PROSPERITY" led by Snr. Comr. Abenzi Selekekeme Gabice, met with the Director Centre for Youth Development, Bayelsa State and a political tornado in Ekeremor Hon. Engema Jumbo for endorsement and signed the special autograph. Hon. Engema Signified his support and endorsement of the program as the steering committee meets with him ahead of the Confab slated to hold on the 29th June, 2023 in Ekeremor Community.

The political tornado of Ekeremor Local Government Area embraced the blue print of the program unveiled to him by the steering committee in his office, expressed his delight as he looks towards witnessing various youths groups coming together to take mind-blowing decisions in their bid to make a bold stand in the forthcoming elections in the State, saying he is readily available to support the youths to actuallize their programs before, during and after the Ekelga Confab.

ABUJA: CONSULTATION TO ALAHAJI ASARI, THE PYRAMID:

The New Era Campaign Trail paid a consultative visit to the Ndiabale of Kalabari kingdom and the Pyramid of the Niger Delta liberation struggle, Alahaji Mujahid Asari Dokubo, who was one’s president of the IYC at his Asokoro private residence, FCT, Abuja.

I seized the opportunity to reiterate my commitment to the Ijaw course, while soliciting for his support and blessings as part of my nationwide consultations with critical stakeholders of the Ijaw national project to becoming the 9th president of Council.

Amongst many other things, I assured him that I’ll be introducing fresh ideas and strategic thinking to confronting the challenges of the oppressed Ijaw people in the Nigerian state. I equally promised that under my watch, the IYC will be reorganized, disciplined with the precision needed to achieve targeted results.

He offered prayers and blessings while opining that I’ve what it takes to provide leadership for the Council at this time of uncertainties going by my track records and and fearless and courageous contributions to the Ijaw course as Spokesman of the Council.

As part of efforts to reaching out to critical stakeholders of the Ijaw National project, the New Era Campaign Trail paid a consultative visit to HRH. King. Dr. Selky Kile Torughedi, Eyewei 5th of Azuzuama Community at his private residence in Abuja to formally inform him of Comr Ebilade Ekerefe presidential aspiration in the fourthcoming national elective convention of the IYC.

Comr Ebilade Ekerefe seized the opportunity to give account of his stewardship as Spokesperson of the Council in the last three years and equally presented my book; "CHRONICLE'S OF EBILADE EKEREFE" which catalogues all his press releases/conferences, articles and various interventions, including pictorial evidences of the Operation 301 free ICT skill acquisition training program organised by his office.

He assured him that when elected as president of Council by God special grace, He will consolidate on the gains of his achievements and set a new agenda for Council that will gear towards aggressive human capacity building and empowerment of our youths in the next three years.

Ijaw Youths Threaten Showdown with SPDC over Alleged Violation of Nigerian Content Policy Put FG, NCDMB, security agencies on notice The umbrella body of Ijaw Youths worldwide, the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC), has threatened to shut down the exploration activities of the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) over alleged violation of the Nigerian content laws which deprived host communities and local contractors in the oil and gas sector of jobs and others. The IYC said the youths were ready to shut down the exploration activities of the Shell Petroleum Development Company “even if it means to be killed by the trigger-happy Niger Delta Military Joint Task Force in the region. The body said the warning was to put the federal government, the Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), security agencies, and leadership of multti-national oil companies on notice to avoid breakdown of law and order, vowing to engage multinationals until their demands are met. National Spokesman of the IYC, Ebilade Ekerefe, in an interactive session in Yenagoa, yesterday, said despite the intervention of senior officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), officials of the SPDC terminated jobs meant for indigenous contractors. Ekerefe said contracts which ought to be awarded to local contractors and jobs for host communities in the Niger Delta Region were been given to relatives of expatriates and other Nigerians at the helms of affairs of the multinationals, depriving calls of their rights. He stressed that the situation was unacceptable. The IYC spokesman noted that local contractors from the region have met all value procurement requirements by the certifying bodies in the country to qualify to be awarded such contracts and be gainfully employed in those fields, but frowned at the actions of the SPDC and other oil multinationals.
